As you can see in the video above, I have designed a Premium Quality Knife that lasts a life time, in close cooperation with a butcher who has more than 30 years of experience in working with knives 3-4 hours on daily basis and an industrial designer who has been designing consumer goods for many years and won both IF and Red dot awards.
VG10 damascus steel - the very best but also most expensive material for a knive
By making a knife with a blade of VG10 damascus steel - where the steel is folded and folded and folded, 68 times and has a HRC of 62 - you are guaranteed a premium quality knife of the finest and best - but also most expensive steel material that has a durability and hardness that keeps the blade much sharper and last much longer than a traditional knife and will for sure make your daily cooking task in the kitchen easier and more safe.
We now extend the RISVIG Acutus Damascus knife concept with 2 new knives
By launching the small 5.9 inches / 15 cm chef knife and 5.3 inches / 13.5 Asian paring knife you will together have the 3 most important knives in Damascus steel.
Why we can offer you a premium quality knife at such a competitive price.
With a lean and simple set up with direct contact to the right manufacturer that is specialized in producing knives, you only pay costs related to designing and manufacturing the knives.
By selling directly online to you - we give you the mark up and kick backs that the retailers normally request and it will be a saving for you. Furthermore, we do not have a team of marketing, finance, warehouse, sales people in company cars etc that needs to be calculated into the final cost price and passed on to you.
Progressive and organic design
The progressive and organic design made by industrial designer Jacob Leth-Espensen also gives you a knife that designwise will stay contemporary in many years to come. The blade is also designed so it cuts right to the end of the blade using the full length which is often missing on existing knifes on the market.
Handle designed for comfort and proper grip
Furthermore, the handle is designed for comfort and proper grip and we have been focusing on making the handle as light as possible in order to give you a unique feeling when having the knife in the hand and using it in the kitchen. Due to mix of material and design, the 7.9 inches / 20 cm chef knife only weights 220 g.
How we designed the knife:
Value for Money offer - save up to 45% as Kickstart member
As an alternative to our Premium Designed Damascus knife - we have based on consumer feedback - decided also to offer a value for money knife set where we keep the unique progressive and organic design - but where the very expensive damascus steel is replaced with Stainless steel of HRC56 that still guarantees you a high quality knife.

Risks and challenges
As this is a line extension of the Risvig Acutus knife - and we have already part of the concept in mass production and have known the manufacture for several years - then the main risk is that we do not meet our funding goal of 100.000 to invest in tooling.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
