In creating the epic novel series Everdawn, an actor/writer with a background in both classical and modern theatre has teamed up with a voracious reader of both history and literature, who also happens to be his best friend since the fourth grade.
We are Eric J. Stein and Joshua McEvoy, and together we have created an epic tale that combines the infinitely fascinating world of human motivation with the often unbelievable truth of what peoples and cultures have been capable of in the great arc of our history.
And we’ve thrown it all into a world where tiny cracks are becoming irreparable breaches in the foundations of an ancient empire called… Everdawn.
In this gritty and intriguing story set in a time that resembles our medieval era, a monolithic and regimented empire (we've used their animal-based military ranking system for our reward levels) rules the vast majority of the known world and the moral compasses within do not always point north, they spin.
We follow the story of a man who is lost, finding his way in a strange and dangerous world of wealth and rebellion, excess and sacrifice. As he struggles to survive and thrive amid both breathtaking beauty and bloody travail, learning himself as he goes, so too do we the readers learn of a world in turmoil, an empire in flux.
We believe the story of Everdawn jumps off the pages. But we’re going to give potential readers—specifically, potential publishers—a taste of what’s in store, with a high production value, high velocity promotional trailer of this yet untold epic tale. In partnership with LMP Enterprises, we’ve already assembled an incredible team of talent, from producers to actors, from directing to design. We have picturesque shooting locations and top notch equipment. Now all we need before we can call “Action” on the world of Everdawn…
As you know, filmmaking often costs millions and millions of dollars. And even though this is a project of the heart for all of us involved, and though people are volunteering their time and skills to make it happen, it isn’t free.
We need to purchase material so we can build the clothing of peasants and aristocrats, warriors and waifs. We have to put film in the cameras, drive to locations and the actors… have gotta eat. There are also significant costs to both renting and insuring the camera and equipment and hiring professional operators and personnel.
Our goal is a modest one. We need to raise at least $3000 through this kickstarter effort so that we can make this magic happen and all these wonderful people can show off their talents and help us tell this story.
And it’s important that you know that NO money changes hands until we reach our goal, and if we don’t, we don’t get one dime. So, please give generously as you’re able, and invite your friends to do the same.
Together we can see the sun rise over Everdawn.
