We are so glad you are looking at our project page. Really. You have no idea how thrilled we are to introduce you to Equal for All.
Back a year ago, Equal was not born. But there was that spark. A shared belief. The belief it’s time to do business with a stronger sense of purpose. The belief it’s time to better respect environmental and social standards.
And it starts today with a high quality shoe for men. Tomorrow for women and children. This shoe is recyclable. Made in natural cowhide. It is produced in a factory in Portugal that treats employees with respect. They have an expertise in cowhide shoes since the early 1900’s. The revenues made from this shoe will help us reach our ambition: to develop social impact projects. In September to empower 30 children in need in Paris. In this winter to better fight malaria in specific countries in Africa. And we want to develop many others.
At Equal, we don’t pretend we are going to change the world. Truth is, you will. Step by step. Together, we can overcome exceptional challenges. Because when you wear our shoe, you wear the projects we initiate. And the more you do, the bigger the projects can be.
So what’s the step forward? $15,000.
To complete our initial efforts. To finish what we started. To produce the Equal shoes. Minimum order quantities are needed to launch production. To ship the shoes. Store them in Paris. To make our first project Equal for Child happen. To make and launch our official website. To spread the word and exceed expectations.
Please support at whatever level you’re comfortable with. We will do our best to deliver our high quality shoes by early September 2013. In the meantime, you can already share the purpose within your network.

What makes our product unique?
- Our shoes are produced in Portugal, a factory that respects companies’ workforce standards.
- Most of the materials of the shoes are recyclable. We are as eco-friendly as possible.
- Portugal has a unique expertise in leather and shoes since 1900’s.
- The sole is stitched, extremely comfortable inside and very resistant.
- The models are in leather and buckskin, 100% natural cow
- And we are currently working on the female models, Nicolas our designer plays hard on it.
Equal for Child is our first project. It aims at empowering children who live under the poverty line. In early September, they will come together, paint and turn a drab wall into art.
Those children at the number of 30 come from greater Paris area. A graffiti designer, Anthony and his team will explain the children how to paint the wall and assist them in the performance.
Equal for Child is our first project and many other projects will follow. We already started working on the second one which aims at helping people in need in Africa to fight malaria.
Equal for All - Mad to live

At Equal, we appreciate this quote from Jack Kerouak. A very promising director who deeply shares our purpose directed this videoclip for us. Please share it if you embrace it too.
The Equal Team
They were just kids. Yahya, Nicolas and Jimmy first met in Strasbourg, France in the early 90’s. Geographical distance never affected their growing friendship since then. After university graduation, Nicolas crossed the Atlantic Ocean to work as a designer in Montréal while Yahya and Jimmy took it to next level and flew to Paris. The three of them always wanted to start a business and add value to society. As Jimmy and Nicolas were also passionate about shoes, Yahya was more focused on finding new ways to fight inequalities. Equal for All became their common way to share their passions and reach their goals.
And they are not alone. Serge and Jean-loup subsequently joined the team in 2013. Both of them met Yahya in the mid 2000's. Serge is a former engineer who lives in the USA, dedicated to grow the business of Equal in North America. As a young graduate in political science, Jean-loup develops the content of the brand.
At Equal, we believe a successfull business relies on the addition of different expertise within a team. And those people must share a common vision.
