You should place an update on this campaign and the older one, spreading the news about the new one (launched by Chad Elkins of 25th Century Games), this way many of the old backer would help to make this project get funded.

Hm, I had bought an early pledge. I think this is not possible now. I like the game very much but it's an expensive cardgame. And I think it would be no EU-friendly shipping, so I have to pay VAT. I think my order will depend from the shipping cost to germany. Thank you!

Bummer. I was really hoping the project would make it. Keep up the good work and hopefully take another shot.

Ah too bad, really hoped it would make it this time. I really think the game is good. Why not make the game not Christmass themed? Because the game mechanics does not ask for a Christmass theme, can be any kind of lights or even something else that can be build with multiple cards. Maybe it scares a lot of people and think you can only play it a short amount of time per Year. And because of that do not even look at the game. I have the idea that If you give it another theme that’s not specific for a small time frame in a year, it might be a success.

Shame to see, the misses and me was looking forward to this. Glad you can still order it, and will look into that after this.

Seems unlikely to reach the goal. Which is a shame. Looks like a fun family games. If you’re ever in the Truro NS area let me know.

@Alex We have looked into a number of options before. We will for sure keep everyone updated on our future plans. Thanks for the questions!

Maybe a POD release might help this see light of day somehow.

This looks like a pretty cool family game. I found it kind of late, but I'd like to see it published sometime soon, so I can play it with my daughter. I like the video.

While the campaign is coming to a close, I wanted to offer support to you, Adam, for the work you have put into this project. You have done a great job of creating a fun game that many people will continue to enjoy, and even though it didn’t fund, that doesn’t reflect on you or your game-making skills. I can’t wait to see what project you are working on next!

@Lloyd fox, Thanks! I hope so too.

@Tristan, Yeah they have been selected. I was just waiting to hear back from two of them. I'll name all the winners in the next update. Thanks for asking.

Have the winners of Days 10-12 been finalized? [fingers crossed]

@ RomyCat, We have considered a number of options for advertising. BGG being one of the better options. We have Nadeau Media helping us starting a few days ago so we are excited to see where that takes us!

    21. Adam Collins 3-time creator on December 28, 2017

@izumi5188: glad you enjoyed it! You are absolutely right, if the yard sale is played right it can be used to play two bulbs giving you huge advantages. Even better if you can convince someone to trade on their turn for a more than two bulb round.

    22. izumi5188 on December 27, 2017

So played it a few times with adults. We figured out pretty fast that the Yard Sale stage could easily be used to advance your play, or screw someone over. We never used it to figure out our hands.

If you Yankee Swapped for a card you needed, you could play it. Then yard sale the next care you need, and claim it right away. Allowing you to play twice. Or if you were sure of cards you opponent need you could, swap for the card they had, play it to discard it, and yard sale another of that type, but since you don't need it and you don't have a question. It would be discard as well.

Also, my print and play was black and white with marker. Not the prettiest, but allowed us to try out the game.

    23. Adam Collins 3-time creator on December 24, 2017

@Michael: I’m not sure what you mean by options? Do you mean the turn phases? If so, I’d like to hear more about why you thought doing all the turn phases was too much. A lot of the testing was done in 2 player games but we could have missed something. Thanks for printing and playing the game though!

    24. Michael on December 23, 2017

Played The print and play with 2 players and found doing all 3 options on your turn was too much per turn do we did any of the three options twice per turn and that worked out well

    29. Adam Collins 3-time creator on December 22, 2017

@RomyCat, Good suggestions. We have considered that and are looking into many other options for advertising as well. The hard part is investing money in advertising before the project is nearly or full funded. Some studies suggest that people who visit a campaign through an advert before full funding have less confidence in backing it. Again, great suggestions and we hope to get to more advertising soon.

    30. izumi5188 on December 22, 2017

If the PNP is going to be available for Christmas, I feel like you are running out of time. At least for all of us to try and make and show are friends and family. My party is tomorrow night already.

Hi, just throwing out an idea for publicity. Have you considered advertising at BGG? I have actually supported several Kickstarters because I first saw their advertisements on BGG and followed the link back to Kickstarter. I once read in a forum that an ad is $800, but prices may vary based on time it is running, size, etc. (My info on price may be incorrect.)

For me, $800 is very expensive, so trying to balance ad cost vs. new backers is a big consideration. I don't know what the average clicks/buys is at BGG. At least you will be seen by your target audience--gamers. I do know ads at BGG have been effected on me.

@Mark: Good idea. We've tossed around a number of packaging ideas early on in the design but settled on what we have because it was the most feasible and affordable to make. An ornament for a starting marker, now that is a new idea...

    33. Mark on December 19, 2017

Just a idea: how about somehow make a package that will double as a Christmas Tree ornament?

    34. Adam Collins 3-time creator on December 18, 2017

@Michael: yes, the print and play will be made available before Christmas. Which day it will be on will be a surprise though ;)

      Thanks for asking!

    35. Michael on December 18, 2017

Would the whole print and play be ready by this Christmas?

    36. Adam Collins 3-time creator on December 17, 2017

Tristan, you did not. I was waiting for confirmation before announcing the draw winner. Thanks for checking in!

Nice! Can’t wait to support any way I can, whether it’s feedback or if it’s add ons/new tiers !

Type, you read our minds! Stay tuned ;)

    44. Type on December 14, 2017

On top of this, another idea for extra playability would be event cards, where after the end of one full round (one round consists of each player doing one turn) they draw one event card that has different variables, such as players swap out pattern cards mid game (one complete set would still count) but any other work in progress sets would be discarded, or another event card , every player has to shuffle their hand with all cards upright, third event card could be every player gets to look at their hand for 3 seconds, and the fourth event card could be every player shuffles their hand and can play one random card from their hand

    45. Type on December 14, 2017

Hello. So I apologize ahead of time as I do not know what you guys have planned already for this game, however I would like to make a few idea suggestions. Would it be possible to add in a multi color light that counts as any color you’d like however there’s only 6 in the deck? Or how about a snip clip card with artwork of clippers that when played would make the player who placed it down have to get rid of the last light they placed down? Just a couple of ideas for more cards or maybe an expansion pack?

    46. Adam Collins 3-time creator on December 14, 2017

izumi5188, the original game was designed for 2-6 players but for cost reasons we kept the card count down to make it affordable (hence it being a stretch goal). You are right, there are many possibilities for patterns and we plan on creating a few more if we are successful. Patterns that require more than one of the same colour are a possibility for different amounts of players but we have to make sure the the proper amount of cards are available within the deck (so player's don't run out halfway through the game), which is something we will explore in more detail if we are successful.

    47. izumi5188 on December 14, 2017

I'm curious if you think this game is expandable to more players if you have multiple sets? And with 6 colors of bulbs, why only 6 patterns, wouldn't there be 720 options? Couldn't there be 12 unique patterns?
