First Recon is a Tactical and Team-Based First Person Shooter. The game has two teams, Attackers and Defenders. The job of the Attackers is to breach the Defenders building and defuse a bomb. The goal of the Defenders is to prevent the Attackers from completing their objective. However, the game map is randomly generated every round. After three rounds, the teams switch sides, and after another three rounds the game concludes.
The game will feature our own dedicated servers, as well as community hosted servers. Our own dedicated servers will be used to keep track of in-game statistics, as well as host possible competitions in the future.

It is important for us to let you know how our project funds will be used and why they are needed. First Recon primarily needs 3D Art, Sounds, and Music. We want to purchase professional quality assets by contracting various artists, and make the game as pleasing as possible for the user.
This Kick-starter is to help push the game along to an acceptable state where it can be released onto the Steam Marketplace. The game is not yet ready for a full commercial retail, and as such needs some additional funding to improve its fidelity.
We plan to have the game onto Steam's Early Access by October of this year (2017). It will be PC/Mac/Linux for the time being. Currently there is a public Alpha test of the game on our website. We encourage you to first play the game before you decide to back us. We would hate to have you not like the core of the game before you spend your money!
We plan to allow the game to be fully mod-able on the server-end to allow for an endless amount of content with a little impact on the average user. We will release proper modding tools and offer support on our forums for anyone looking to write code for their own servers.
(The servers will be written in Java)
Risks and challenges
Currently we plan to release a Private Beta (Early Access) in September of 2017, with a full release being a few months after. Our team is comprised of a Programmer, Graphics Artist, and a Sound Artist. We will look to expand with proper funding to create more assets for the game at a faster rate.
The games engine is written in Java using our own rendering technology. As such this means there is a lot more work on our end when implementing new features. However, since it is all our own work, you can be assured there will be no incompetence or "down-time" due to simply not knowing how to implement something.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
