Our "quiet" member of the tribe Tala Marie!
Tala caught the acting bug when she was 8 after having been cast in a traveling troupe that staged Hans Christian Anderson plays. She trained in the Vaganova ballet method at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. and the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts in Torrington, CT of which she is a graduate. She currently studies Meisner acting technique at the Joanne Baron/ D.W. Brown Studio in Santa Monica, CA and improv at UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) in Los Angeles, CA. She danced with the Colorado Ballet, the Boulder Ballet, and with an avant-garde ballet company called Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet. She performed in the “Sirens of T.I.” show, directed by Kenny Ortega, and in the “Matt Goss Live” show at Caesar's Palace produced by Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin. Tala danced for “Matt Goss Live” in concerts at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall to sold out audiences. In addition, Tala performed as a backup dancer for Katy Perry when the singer appeared on American Idol. One of Tala's most recent projects was playing disgruntled news reporter Shimmer Blaze in the comedy web series, “The Unemployed." When she’s not acting, dancing, or modeling, Tala loves photography, traveling to the far reaches of the world, and chilling at home watching a movie with a bowl of popcorn in her lap. Oh, and she likes to laugh too. If you hear a chuckle before you actually see the person, it’s probably her!!
