When the High Lord of the City tells you to do something, you do it. Even if it’s the seemingly impossible task of tracking down one missing human in London, a city of 8 million people, some of whom aren’t quite as human as they seem.
Leni Lightfingers isn’t your typical pixie. She works as a human statue, lives with her best mate, a half-brownie social worker and would rather drink beer than sip flower syrup. She’s barely 5 foot tall, her magicks still won’t work on sound and oh yeah, she got kicked out of Fayre ten years ago, and swore never to go back.
So why is she High Lord Apdeth’s first choice for tracking down a missing human girl? She’s got no clue, but if she doesn’t find out who (or what) took the girl, the High Lord will have her head. And it won’t be staying attached to her body for long.
My novel, Lightfingers, is in need of a cover and some professional editing.
I’ve been working on it off and on for about three years, and it’s finally ready for self publishing. I’m a trained, talented writer but I can’t design for toffee. And so, after much internal debate, I’ve decided I need a professional designer, but right now I lack the funds to pay one.
Please help me make my book stand out on the virtual shelf.
My priority is the cover, but should this Kickstarter raise more than the money needed for the designer, I’ll then retain a professional copy editor to ensure the book is as good as it can be.
There’s no profit here - the digital copy of the book will cost exactly the same when it goes live on Amazon or Lulu. If you want to wait until all is done, it’s your choice, but anyone who donates now will get their e-book early and, if they so choose, will be added to a mailing list to receive updates and advance information about when the second book in the series, Lightfingers: What lies below, is published.
The password is "kickstarter" - all lower case.
Risks and challenges
I hope to have book ready to for printing with the new cover in December. E-books will be sent out straight away but printed copies will take some time to organise. I intend to work as fast as I can and have only limited delivery options as I know the approximate postage costs for those countries.
Should you wish a printed copy delivered outside of the UK, US, EU or Canada please message me and I'll see what I can do to accomodate you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
