In January, The Drama Workshop, a 501c3 community theater based in Cincinnati, produced "Jerry Finnegan's Sister", by Jack Neary.

“Jerry Finnegan’s Sister” recounts the long relationship between Brian Dowd and his best friend’s sister, Beth Finnegan. Ever since the Finnegan family moved in next door, Brian has wrestled with an unrequited "something" for Beth. But each and every time he's spoken with her for more than 30 seconds, he's ended up with his foot planted firmly in his mouth. But now, Brian's time is about to run out. With recent news that Jerry Finnegan's sister is getting married, the time has come for him to put up or shut up.

"Jerry Finnegan's Sister" was selected to represent the state of Ohio at the American Association of Community Theaters' Division 3 Regional Festival, to be held April 19-21 in Hartford, Wisconsin. This project is to raise funds to underwrite the group's participation in this prestigious event. Should JFS be selected to continue on, the AACT National Festival will be held in Carmel, Indiana, in June - practically in our backyard!

The funds we are trying to raise are the bare-bones essentials for gas, tolls, lodging, and registration for the group to participate in the regional festival. Any excess funds will be applied towards the construction of a handicap access ramp at The Glenmore Playhouse.
