ThrillSeekers is a gritty story based in Fayetteville NC, a city with a haunted history and forlorn future. In the background, the rain paints a drab portrait of a city dying to find light amidst police corruption, a ruthless serial killer, and five jaded teenagers who've decided to live life on their own terms, doing anything for the next thrill, regardless of who gets hurt in the process. And did I mention Femme Fatale, Anya Vindrell?
ThrillSeekers explores the dark side in a way few stories do and putting it on the big screen is the only way to do it any justice. The problem is I have no script to build on. True, the story is there but there first needs to be a screenplay before we can begin the filming process. And that's where you come in. Without the community, ThrillSeekers wouldn't have made it this far and that is the reason I am looking to you to help take it to the next level. After researching the average cost of a screenplay I was shocked. There was no way I could find 100,000 dollars to pay someone from the WGA to write a script for me. But then I got to thinking and I remembered there were other people just like me, writers, actors, and creators that love and live to see the little guy win. With the money raised, once all physical rewards are distributed, I plan to crowdsource a talented, imaginative screenwriter who is looking to collaborate and create, and not just out to get a check.
By March of 2018 I expect to have the script professionally polished and ready for the camera. Naturally all backers will be kept in the know every step of the way and I intend to have your input in the script writing process. Together I know we can make this project a successful one!
Risks and challenges
Without the super Hollywood budget I feel it will be tough finding someone that will know how to write to industry standards, that is why I will specifically budget a portion of the funds raised to have the script polished.
I'm also emotionally attached to the story and If it were up to me all of it would be part of the movie but I know it can't so I'll need to find objective feedback when considering scene selection.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
