@Agronicus I think one difference is that in SRR everybody leveled up their skills the same way and you did not really have a choice what to get, ie you got aimed shot before burst fire. Here it sounds like you could chose to never get aimed shot at all, It might not be a perfect match for PnP but it still does seem to be an interesting system. Maybe we can see dual pistol street sams v smg sams v assault rifle sams. Its also an incentive to keep playing your characer long term if you can learn all the skills if you play enough. They just need to balance karma gain so it would take a long while to get to that point otherwise endgame sams will all be the same skillwise with maxed out skills. I am looking forward to this, just wish it was already out.
I love SR PnP rules ... but if this makes the SRO game a better experience then I have no problem with it.
Sounds a lot like the SR:R system which I didnt particulary like ... unfortunately I already suspected an adaptation similar to that *sigh*
Sounds awesome! As a complete novice to SR, I've played through SRR a couple of times now and this update makes me even more excited to play SRO. Hmm, it's not too late to up my pledge via Paypal is it? ;)
