Today’s update is based on requests from our creative backers and fans!

You may have seen our AWESOME (if we do say so ourselves) character and NPC artwork already. And if you haven’t feasted your eyes on it yet, take a peek here and use one of these great avatars as your Kickstarter, Twitter, Facebook, or general Matrix avatar to proudly proclaim you are a Shadowrun Online backer! Picturing the mean streets

We are working with a pool of great creative people such as Shadowrun artists extraordinaire, AAS and Klaus Schwerwinski, both members of SHE (Our Shadowrun High Council of Elders, an elite circle of SR luminaries such as Tom Dowd, Jason Hardy and Bull, to name a few. They make sure we stay true to the vision and guide us with their wisdom). They are all helping us to define the visceral visual atmosphere for Shadowrun Online as we are currently detailing out the respective megacorp styles, as well as defining our city hub atmosphere. Another talented artist helping us shape the vision is Josh Godin and we wanted to show you some samples of Josh’s previous work that we have used as a starting point below.

Play it loud!

Music and sound effects play a major role in the atmosphere of any game. We have received a high number of offers from music and sound professionals wanting to contribute to Shadowrun Online, and we are now collecting submissions for the game! For example here are a couple of recent tracks by the renaissance man and sound master Walter Machado, created as his take on SRO.

In fact, if you are a music composer and want to support Shadowrun Online, you can send us your compositions and we will put those that are suitable up on our site for fans to listen to and provide feedback on! Share your love and talent with the fans!

      I'm confused about the reward tiers. If I donate $55 dollars do I not get the 3 month subscription for the online game? What if I want both the free-to-play and campaign rewards?

      I really like the Legwork idea. I think it really sets this game apart from other MMO's out there.

      It will expand on the concept (massively) - an actual hub where you can meet other players, legwork and more meta plots to name a few, but yes, the central hub - mission structure will remain. No sense in wasting time to have people walk from a t b when you can have them going into action immediately ;)

      Hey guys. Future Campaign Runner's Apprentice here with a question:
      Design wise, is SRO going to be similar to Jagged Alliance Online. By which I mean a central hub for recruiting, repairing, etc and then trips 'out' to go on missions? And will it be turn based?
      (Loving JAO, BTW. ;))

      In less than 24 hours with the exposed tracks we have more than 2000 plays, hundreds of downloads, lots of soundcloud messages and tweets.
      For you all, and based on the impressions that had been sent to me, I recorded a new track "Exotic", and its now available for free download.

      I really liked all of the musics shown, but Injection somehow gave me a feeling of the Shadowrun ( Sega Genesis/Megadrive version )

      I did the listed soundtrack, and its deeply important your feedback about which line of production pleases you more.
      "Cromo 2.0" came inspired by the old Mega Drive (genesis) version of Shadowrun, and goes thru a analogic X digital mixed line (guitar vs pads).
      "Heavy Gear" had been created to translate industrial and corporative aspects of 6th world (check the anvil sound and the corpotate-slaves chorus),
      "Injection" comes with the Glam Rock Inspiration of 2050, voice was a hard choice, and guttural was the first option to blend with the core guitars.
      "City Escape" lots of my old pen and paper sessions ended in an insane escape, after mission goal... then a Goblin Punk Rock was the choice to ilustrate this scene.

      I tryed to pass away from obvious choices like trance and electro. Your impressions may guide my next compositions, friends...

      I'm going to echo what J.R. Riedel said about the music. Cromo and Heavy Gear are awesome: perfect Shadowrun music (Cromo especially). I'm not into the vocals on the third and fourth tracks. That might be what goblin rock sounds like, but I strongly prefer the instrumental works.

      Chromo and Heavy Gear are strong songs.
      All the songs have good music backing.
      I admit I'm not a big fan of the distorted voices, but that's personal preference not a comment on the songs.

      I like the music, even though Industrial always sounds a bit repititive(if its not Rammstein :P ).

      I wanted to suggest more modern electronic music. ;)
      This is the 2070-setting, chummers! :D Not SRR´s 2050s! :D

      Hi Sangius, I think, the podcast interview has real potential to convince some of them, who still have some doubts. There is some information, which has notnbeen displayed yet. Maybe someone could at least sum up the facts and spread it in the essential boards.

      As the update text shows, those images are from one of the artists who is contributing to the look and atmosphere of Shadowrun Online. His, and other work, including Shadowrun specific art, will be part of the springboard for the concept art yet to come. ^_^

      Devs, looking at art I think you downplay the 'cyberpunk' aspect a bit. If there's tech, make it glow with LED's and remember smartlinks & chip implants & so on. Make it *POP* to hook your potential backers.

      Really nice art, but IMO not exactly carrying enough of the 'punk / cyber / dark future' aspect. BRING IT!
