I'm really excited about this project. I always get a live tree for my two kids, Ben and Lucy. It dawned on me that with all the lights and garland and ornaments, the only thing alive on my Christmas tree was just the tree itself. So I got to thinking what else I could add to the tree to give it more life. Literally. What about an ornament that contained it's very own living breathing plant? I've never seen one before so I figured why not do it myself and make it available to the public. This project reminds me of getting Sea Monkeys as a kid. You have a vessel in which you add water and some eggs(seeds in this case) and watch them grow. I think it's a fun and super easy project that kids of all ages will enjoy. I'm going to use the money from this project to give the two best kids in the world the best Christmas ever.
Risks and challenges
I think the reason I'm so eager to jump into this project is that it's very low risk. It's a really simple idea that only requires a few components. I've already grown a handful of them. The success rate has been incredible. I don't foresee any setbacks with maybe the exception of a few seeds not sprouting. Each ornament has several different kinds of seeds in it, so even if a few don't sprout, there are still plenty more that will.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
