Thanks for saving CinemaSalem!

Posted by Paul Van Ness (Creator)

Hi Noble Backers:

While driving in Danvers this morning, I spotted a "We helped save CinemaSalem" bumpersticker. Thanks, anonymous backer, for your generosity and posting about your benevolence on your vehicle.

We're excited that our 3D system is up and running. While this was not part of the Kickstarter campaign, we wouldn't be in business right now at all without your support, so you should feel like proud grandparents of our RealD 3D system, nonetheless. We're going to book a free "Backer-Only" 3D screening in the near future. If you have any requests for non-current 3D films you'd like to see, kindly respond to this update.

However, I'm writing with more pressing good news. Our next Kickstarter "Backer-Only" special is tomorrow night, July 11 at 7 pm! The studios won't let us offer free tickets to a brand new movie like Grown Ups 2, but we can offer a free popcorn (one per party) to all our CinemaSalem Backers who purchase tickets to see that flick. "A free popcorn" means a small or a bucket, your choice. This offer is good only tomorrow night at the 7 pm premiere presentation of Grown Ups 2, a North Shore-shot comedy sequel which looks just as funny as the original.

One more quick update: we've been waiting for delivery of the mugs and t-shirts which are rewards for some levels on contribution, and we've received word that they're on the way. We'll let you know immediately when they arrive.

Thanks again for your awesome support. See you soon!

Paul V

I agree. Avatar was and still is my favorite 3D movie of all time.

      I'd second that.
