What We're Doing
When we learned the native Hawaiian wisdom of survival and culture was on the verge of extinction, we knew we had to do something. “Hawaii - A Voice For Sovereignty” is a
documentary with an important mission based on the voice of the native Hawaiian
people. This documentary raises awareness with their message of "What happens to the land happens to the people."
We’re raising $87,000 for a final shoot, editing, and release to the world. The pre-release edit has already won 7 film awards at film festivals in Maui, New York, Los Angeles, Berkeley, San Francisco, and New Zealand. Hey, maybe this final version will win an Academy award.
The final release version will be for a summer 2011 premiere at the Hollywood Gower Studios, as part of "Kat Kramer's Films That Change the World" series. Kat Kramer is daughter of Academy Award-winning director Stanley Kramer. This special screening with the press, Academy members, and celebrity guests will be sure to raise awareness to help save the Native Hawaiian culture.
