Killer Mike and El-P are releasing the highly anticipated “Run The Jewels 2” on October 28 2014. If you click here ------->http://www.runthejewels.net/ you can pre-order the album. In the special packages section they have offered 'The Meow The Jewels Package' for $40,000. It is described as, "Run The Jewels will re-record RTJ2 using nothing but cat sounds for music. " So you're telling me that if I can raise $40,000 I'll get to hear a hip-hop album made with all cat sounds? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
Feel free to preview the two tracks, 'Oh My Darling Don't Cry' and 'Blockbuster Night Part 1' (linked below), that will be included on the remixed album once the project is funded.

We have El-P’s full support going into this project, and I am in regular contact with him. I am raising the 40k to pay for the “Meow The Jewels” album to be made. El-P has publicly stated (via twitter: @TheRealElP) that he will donate HIS money to a charity directly benefiting the families of Eric Garner and Mike Brown. So that being said THIS KICKSTARTER IS NOT RAISING MONEY FOR CHARITY….ALL MONEY RAISED WILL BE USED TO PAY EL-P AND KILLER MIKE TO CREATE THE “MEOW THE JEWELS” ALBUM,$40000 will be used to pay Run The Jewels. $2050 will be used for Kickstarter Fees $2050 will be used for the ‘Amazon Payment‘ fees. $1000 has been allocated for rewards/shipping. UPDATE 10/9: After Just Blaze's commitment to MTJ, a slew of other popular producers have also committed to help produce our project. The list of producers now includes, El-P, Just Blaze, The Alchemist. Geoff Barrow, Skywlkr, Zola Jesus, Nick Rook, Baauer, Prince Paul, Dan The Automator, Boots, and Tier Contributor Solidified Sun. Risks and challenges
We have El-P’s full support going into this project, and I am in regular contact with him. If the project is funded, he will indeed create the remixed album. All backers will receive their rewards. If any problems arise I will address them here, and work diligently to correct them. I will stay in constant communication with all backers as far a production times and any other possible mishaps.
