Illegal Aliens is an Action-RPG/Co-op Adventure game. It's main focus is to allow players to enjoy an entire campaign built around co-operative gameplay, which allows both players to feel as if they are playing a single player game built for two. Illegal Aliens is more than just another game, it has a story to be told, filled with amazing moments that span from serious to comedic.
Built from the ground up for local co-op gameplay, Illegal Aliens allows both players to interact with each other and the world around them. Players can split up and create distractions to out-maneuver enemies, help one another make it past sticky situations, or work together to solve puzzles and side quests. Why explore the galaxy alone when you don’t have to? Bring a friend along for hours of entertaining fun!
In Illegal Aliens, players will find a vast array of items, gadgets, and weapons that will help you progress in your adventure. Collect gadgets such a grapple gun that allows you to swing and pull your way to new heights or stock your inventory with remote mines and surprise the enemy when they least expect it.
Each player can uniquely upgrade their character the way they want via powers and abilities. For example, you could upgrade your player to pickup enemies or objects, and use them as a shield, or toss them at foes to knock them down.
In Illegal Aliens, players can explore outer space with no invisible boundaries. Fly where you want whenever you want. Players can either walk around or fly the ship, while in spaceflight. Players will also fly from space to land with no load zones. Allowing for the ultimate spaceflight immersion experience.
Illegal Aliens throws players into a world full of Interaction, not just a run and gun shooter. You will explore new locations on your adventure, along the way you will meet new aliens that you decide whether to help or not. Illegal Aliens has a high focus on player choice. Complete objectives in an aggressive or tactical way. Ultimately it's up to you and your friends how you want to play the game.
Illegal Aliens has many innovative gameplay mechanics. In Illegal Aliens, players can walk on walls, solve puzzles, and team up to fight bosses. We wanted to allow as much player interaction as possible, ranging from the items and vehicles you can use, to the way you explore the environments. Experience the game through the eyes of your player, allowing you to see your characters actions as you perform them. Letting each player feel as if they are there, first hand, experiencing the adventure.
Illegal Aliens allows each player to create and edit their own player in-game via the built-in face and body editor. Alter a vast range of facial and body features, allowing you to create the ultimate character you want to play as.
With the help of backers, we can remain 100% in control of Illegal Aliens, from a development standpoint. Remaining independent will allow us to have complete control over every aspect of the game. Ensuring a more gamer focused, innovative game with soul, and overall allow us to make important decisions that will better improve the final product you'll get to play.
SomeArea Studios is an independent development studio founded by Skylar Breen, game designer of Illegal Aliens.
