The best of news! We are now fully funded! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your kindness, your sacrifices and your generosity! We are going to Poland! The campaign remains open until Monday at 3:00 pm, the Hour of Mercy. All additional funds will be allotted to bringing our videographer along and for the Rome portion of our tour. God bless you! May our singing and conducting bring polyphony and chant for the first time to many youth from around the world! In Christ, The Mueller Family Schola, aka "the polyphony family".
More good news: We have been invited to sing at several sites in Poland after World Youth Day, and to travel to Rome and sing there as well! So we need your help even more, to bring polyphony and chant to these additional locations!
Hi there! We need your help to get to Poland this summer, where we're bringing the glory of sacred polyphony and the beauty of Gregorian chant to the liturgies of World Youth Day, serving tens of thousands of pilgrims celebrating daily Mass in a huge stadium!
Who are we? We're the Mueller Family Schola, aka “the polyphony family.” We rehearse every day, we make up silly warm-ups, we run around the house singing, and we have a lot of fun together. We’ve sung polyphony and chant at Mass in many different churches, and we invite you to visit our YouTube channel to see what we’re all about. (Be sure to watch to the very end, for the outtakes...)
Some wonderful news:
1. Christopher (the dad) was invited to be the choral conductor for the daily Masses at the English-language site during World Youth Day, this summer in Kraków, Poland (July 26-31, 2016). This is a great honor, and he is looking forward to leading this beautiful music.
2. In addition, our Family Schola has been invited to give a concert at one of the evening cultural sessions. We are delighted at the opportunity to make our own musical contribution to this great event of the universal Church, and we hope to inspire others to take up chant and polyphony in their homes and parishes.
3. And since the whole family will be together in Poland, Constanza (the mom) and the kids will sing in the liturgical choirs that Christopher will be conducting at the WYD Masses.
We eagerly look forward to a July of magnificent sacred music!
Here's where you come in: without your help, we won't be able to get to Poland. We're very excited about the music we'll be making, the young singers we'll be working with, and all the thousands of youth who will be joining us at these Masses. Please help us cover our travel expenses, including round-trip airfare to Poland, so that we can make the liturgies of World Youth Day as beautiful as possible, for as many people as possible!
And if we exceed our funding target, anything extra will be used to bring along filmmaker Jim Morlino of Navis Pictures, who has agreed to document both the concert and the Masses. We hope to leave Poland with many beautiful memories, and a lot of beautiful footage as well!
Can you help us?
Thank you, and God bless you!
Risks and challenges
If our project is successfully funded, we'll travel to Poland to sing/conduct at the events described above. International travel can be daunting, but fortunately Constanza has traveled widely and speaks several languages, so we're confident that we'll be able to handle the logistical challenges. There's always the possibility that one (or more) of us might get sick or injured prior to this trip, so we ask you to keep us in your prayers — for health and safety, to Poland and back! May God bless you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
