Gather your brothers and move out. The success of the invasion rests on your shoulders!As the Airborne Commander your mission is to seize objectives by sending your brave men into firefights. You'll build your player deck from the Allied cards in the drop zone to create an effective fighting force.
Is a good Commander bold and aggressive or cautious, building toward a decisive strike? Only you can find out!

Each turn in Airborne Commander you draw 4 cards from the Mission Deck and fill the Battlefield to find out what Axis forces you will face. Each Axis unit left unchallenged will add disorganized cards to your deck, making it hard to mount a successful attack.
From your hand, you will play cards in one of three ways:
to fight Axis units in the Battlefield
to support Allied units fighting
or to recruit other Allied cards into your player deck.
You lose if you draw too many disorganized cards or fail to defeat enough static defenses.
Make it to the end of the Mission or Drop Deck and you'll tally your score based on objectives captured and enemy units defeated.

"I got a chance to demo this game at GenCon with the designer and publisher. It was a tense touch and go game even with Aaron there to give me tips on play. Commanders need to make tough decisions about gathering paratroopers or equipment while dealing with a constant German threat. The deck building aspect adds some "fog of war" as you never know if you will have the right combination of troops and equipment to fully deal with the mission. The theme was really present - I felt like a harried commander trying to cobble together enough troops to limit or prevent German reinforcements from getting to the beaches." - John Butitta

Risks and challenges
Risks exist with every new project. There are some delays that are simply out of our control. For instance, strikes at docks happen. We also delay shipments if production samples sent to us are not acceptable.
But this game is already completed. We delivered 100 copies at the Internationale Spieltage in Essen in 2014.
This is a reprint of an existing game. The only things left to create are the French Resistance and Panzer Mark IV cards in the later stretch goals.
StrataMax has designed and published games before. We are the people behind the creation of Tammany Hall and were its first publishers. We also designed and published Sheepdogs of Pendleton Hill (Association for Gifted Children Recommended Toy List) and Let's Take a Hike.
