Bike bells generally look and sound a bit ugly. But why? What if they looked sexy and sounded like an angel playing a glockenspiel?

@David @Jun Nogami thanks for the comments. We are still working hard on refining the final product at this stage. The resonance of the bell when wet will be altered slightly (which is only natural), however the bell's ring is still wonderfully crisp and loud. We'll try and get a video or a soundbite uploaded soon.

David: I asked the same thing about ringing while wet. My guess would be that since the bell material is considerably thicker than a typical bike bell (more akin to a glockenspiel), the ratio of stiffness to the damping action of the water would mean it would be less muffled. It would be nice to get a video demonstration of ringing while wet.

@Jamie Lin when the campaign closes we will send you a survey where you can confirm the size of your bell and the colour.

I'm guessing not much can be done about that although it appears to offer up a lower profile to the rain so less sticks on it? My suggestion would be to look into some kind of hydrophobic coating that sheds rain off so that after the first "glog" the next strike (theoretically) brings back the ding.

Have you done any testing in the rain ? My current bell goes from a dry "DING" to a wet "glog" when raining
