After the successes of London and Cairo, New York and Kenya, we go back at the beginning of the story with the newly released chapter : Peru.
I believe RPG should be an intense and immersive experience, that’s why I am creating objects to enhance the level of that experience. My care for details, texture, weight and even odour is my priority to take you on the trip.
If you intend to run a campaign or if you have already played the Masks of Nyarlathotep, you probably already know why you are here. Maybe you will enjoy running it again with quality props, if you don't and you intend to do it, you should be aware that their may be some SPOILERS AHEAD, but maybe you could be interested by doing it with your current keeper and tell him about our Kickstarter.
Much effort and dedication has gone into putting these specialty items together. This crowdfunding opportunity may be the only way to acquire such one-of-a-kind props as they will most likely never be offered commercially again. If you are a true fan of the Masks of Nyarlathotep and wish to enhance your gaming experience, this is a truly unique opportunity to do so.
Newcomers, here are some backers feedbacks :
"Great work once again Delphes. All of the accessories look great and I can't wait to see what you come up with for the next chapter." Adam Alexander
"Delphes job well done. Your art is always evocative and well executed. Beautiful stuff. I had some minor breakage in my original shipment and you quickly got me a replacement. In our correspondence I can tell you're deeply committed to your art and take great pride in getting everything perfect including customer fulfillment. This being my second highly satisfying KickStarter with you, I can't wait for the next one. Thankfully, I won't have to wait long." Shawn P.
"Everything is of surpassing quality, especially the Mirror and Scepters. Definitely evokes a feeling that they are grotesque alien parodies of ancient Egyptian artifacts. They look as if they were grown from something otherworldly rather than merely fashioned." Anthony Schocke
"Thanks Delphes. A very nice addition along with the Masks of Nyarlathotep Companion." Jonathan Geere
The Golden Mirror
Delphes got inspired by the pre-Columbian archeological site of Tiwanaku and of course a strong amount of Lovecraftian feeling. She tried to emulate the sensibilities of other cultures and understand the langage of the the artists from these ancient civilizations.
The back is polished to a high sheen allowing it to be used as mirror.. then, if we reach the stretch goal, it could be coated in real 24 karat gold leaf to increase the reverberating power !
With the add-on, you will be able to add a special wooden crate for the Mirror.
The Ward of the Pyramid
The ward of the pyramid is supposed to be made of gold from the base of the pyramid. The conquistadors has damaged it a little bit when they took it off from the tunnels of the pyramid and some cultists touched it and let some nasty traces of burned skin on it...
This sculpture will be created in polyurethan with a golden patina made by hand, the size will be 60 cm x 7,5 cm x 2 cm or 24 inches x 3 x 0,7.
Asa add-on, the ward can be presented in its original hand made crate, complete with straw (but not smashed into pieces of course).
The Tiwanaku Pendant
This object (with the golden cup) is the one that send the Investigator to the ruins.
The pendant will be 2,36 inches ( 6cm) made of golden bronze.
It will be designed by Delphes and created with the help of Emmanuelle Schluck a french jeweler who works for Haute Couture houses such as Céline, Givenchy, Jean Vivier, etc. Emmanuelle has made the wax model for the English and Egyptian pendants.
It will be presented in a pouch.
The Deluxe Set
The Deluxe Set you will receive every items listed above. The crates will be designed specifically and more details will be added on the boxes (a closing system, two rope handles, nails upholstery and a special label). This crates should be sold at €100 but for the Deluxe set, we decided to lower the price around €90 (that explains why the Deluxe set is still sold with a little more pricy than all the items combined with only basic crates).
Items added with stretch goals will be proposed to you at a preferential price.
Who are We ?
I am a classically trained sculptor based in Paris. My husband Denys is a Call of Cthulhu Keeper and he often asks me to help him make props for his campaigns. He is the one who made me discover the role playing game. Denys is also a screenwriter and a bit of an infographic designer. So he is helping me a lot to elaborate and decide this proposal. I can say that he's my art director !
Because he and his players enjoy and appreciate using the props & handouts I create so much, we thought others would too!
But we can't do this project alone... So, if you would like to own a fine-art quality prop, and tailor made handouts, you can help us create some great props by participating in this crowdfunding campaign!
We wanted to offer new props for The Masks of Nyarlathotep even before doing the successful Sedefkar Simulacrum crowdfunding in 2015. But we knew this campaign needed something special and we wanted to take our time and acquire the experience of a successful crowdfunding before launching such an ambitious project.

Why the Crowdfunding ?
We need funds to pay for :
• The casting of the sculptures (it will be done in France either by myself or by professionals and renown casters).
• Painting materials.
• Cast and gilding
• All the required work, since everything is made by hand. I need to dedicate a lot of time to the details on the shapes and several layouts of paintings in order to make a real piece of art that will, I hope, enhance your gaming.
The 3500€ goal should allow us to begin production.
How to pledge ?
Select a pledge amount and reward on either the right-hand side of a project page or after clicking the “Back this project” button and selecting “Continue”. From here you’ll be taken to a page where you can continue as a guest, or login if you already have an account. If you would like to continue as a guest, just enter your email address and select “Continue as Guest”.
Make sure to double check your email address – that’s where you’ll receive your pledge confirmation details, messages from us, and a survey to provide details needed to deliver your reward if the project is successful.
Next, fill in your payment details and take a minute to review your pledge details. If you want to purchase add-ons just calculate the amount and add it to the initial pledge. When you’re ready, just click the green “Pledge” button. You may then message us about your add-ons, but even if you forget, there will be a Backerkit survey after the campaign, if successful, to check your add-ons.
Backerkit and Shipping
Backerkit is an after-Kickstarter management website we will use to ask for your delivery address, you will the be able to verify all your options and you can even add some extra options to your pledge. This is also during this phase that shipping fees will be calculated, depending on the weight of your order, and the country you live in.
In our previous Kickstarter campaigns, the shipping fees were calculated for each pledge during the campaign itself. Even if we tried our best to be accurate in our estimations, we had a few surprises. Some objects weights had been underestimate and the shipping was way over the estimation price, or we found out late that there was better options to send some objects at a lower cost. For this new campaign, in order to guarantee the safety of the project and offer you a system that will be fair to you, shipping fees will be added during the Backerkit phase.
Estimate Shipping Price
• The Pendant : €4,80 for France, €7 for Europe, €7,50 World
• The Golden Mirror : €10 for France, €15 for Europe, €23 World
• The Ward of the Pyramid : €10 for France, €20 for Europe, €25 World
• The Golden mirror in its crate : €16 for France, €25 for Europe, €55 World
• The Ward of the Pyramid with its crate : €16 for France, €25 for Europe, €55 World
• The Deluxe set : 25 for France, €40 for Europe, €105 World
It's only estimations to avoid bad surprises when the actual shipping prices will be asked with backerkit. Delphes is working on a way to make her sculpture lighter, so it is possible that we overestimate some of these prices (it's another reason why we prefer use backerkit this time : it can save you some money).
These are the links to my previous Kickstarter. You can still purchase some items. Send me a private message if you want something.

Risks and challenges
We are fully aware that unexpected delays can always occur. The experience from our other projects helped us to understand some principles.
First, Communication is key, of course. Second, always defend quality before quantity. Also, a kickstarter is not about adding a gazillion stretch goals, but realistic ones, and to try first to deliver the goods on time.
We will send updates at least once a month until completion so that you are kept in the loop at all times. We feel that, as pledge contributors, you are our collaborators and you should have a voice in the decision making.
Second, I've been struggling this year with technical problems that have kept me occupied for too long and I don't want to repeat that. So for this project, I decided to concentrate my strengths on what I do best : modeling and painting. It will considerably reduce the risk of a delay. But of course every project was different and some difficulties are sometimes unavoidables. In any case, you can check from my previous 100% completed KS (The Sedefkar Simulacrum, MoN : London and Cairo) I always do everything to keep people informed and deliver the items.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
