We are fundraising to complete our skatepark!
The center and skatepark are located in the town of Paia, on the Island of Maui. The PYCC Stonewave skatepark is an asset to Paia and surrounding communities. It is a safe, fun, supportive, and supervised environment open to the public where adults and youth coming from a broad demographic are brought together to focus on a constructive creative outlet that builds esteem, camaraderie, and individual expression.
The Stonewave Skatepark also offers to youth ages 9-19 a life skills program known as “skate-ops” where youth are able to learn life skills for future jobs by participating in the broad spectrum of tasks required to run and maintain the skatepark as a small business.
The youth center is in the process of Fundraising to complete the skatepark, in which some unsafe and unusable wooden ramps were removed and are to be replaced with a cement street course. The construction is in progress, but has been halted until we secure further funding to complete the project. We are seeking to secure a portion of the funds required to complete the skatepark via the kickstarter platform
please visit www.pyccmaui.org for more information or contact the skatepark directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
