Nesting Dolls is a psychological thriller about the darker sides of us that can lie just beneath the surface. Tori, Britt, and Erica are sorority sisters who spend a week together at a river house. When near-catastrophe strikes, the three are forced against one another as sisters turn to enemies and their humanity and sanity spirals.
A quick 'Test Trailer' with stand in actors and locations to demonstrate the visual language of the film.
What makes this story different is the contrast it displays within itself. Its premise is soon flipped, taking on a darker tone where other films might go a more sensationalist route. The film has interesting characters facing realistic obstacles, but it still remains unexpected and thrilling. It’s gritty, entertaining, terrifying, and beautiful. We’ve kept our plot descriptions vague, but that’s because the first big TWIST comes in the opening twenty minutes of the film. After that, it’s a spiral that you’ll get sucked into. A morally grey film you’ll hate to love.
We want to see this film take on the form we know it can. We’re not asking you to help make our dreams a reality. Instead we rather hope you donate because this is a film YOU want to see on the big screen. We think you will! We all believe in this script and our skills enough to spend our savings (sorry Mom), stake our reputations, and devote every waking (and sleeping) moment on this film. We just hope you’ll support this uncommon film any way you can.
Only to what’s absolutely needed. Films are expensive. The average studio film costs $65 million to produce. We’re looking to fundraise a minimum of $25,000 (of what will become a $50,000 film), so this film falls under the ultra-low budget category. This means we’re asking for just enough to cover the costs of production. Our crew is working for free because they believe in this project. What remains is equipment, locations, food, insurance, housing for the crew, props that we can’t borrow or scrounge, special effects, makeup, and other essentials.
Our team is made up of a collective of young filmmakers and artists who live in sunny Savannah, Georgia. We have a deep passion for crafting stories for our audiences to enjoy. Our previous works include many short films including the upcoming, “Toothpick”. We pull our skills from our experiences on numerous professional feature films including “Lizzy Borden”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Galveston”, and the network series “American Grit”. Everyone on our team is determined and energized to take this story to the big screen. Take a look at our whole team below!

Risks and challenges
Art is about risk, but regardless of the obstacles, this film will come to fruition in a big way. The biggest challenge is the funding itself because we’re putting it all on the line.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
