Krai Mira is a single player post apocalyptic rpg game that takes place on boundless steppes, radioactive swamps, distinctive settlements and grim mountain forests of the same-named island.

Inspired by Fallout1 and Fallout2, Krai Mira also borrows some features from Diablo and Commandos. Though we focus on the combat system you will also enjoy wandering around, exploring new locations, trading and performing quests in this particular post apocalyptic world.

We believe you will live out your own story in this severe world, full of exciting encounters, hot battles, secret places and interesting quests.

3D engine- Imagine Fallout2 gameplay with an option to zoom in/out and rotate the camera, adjust resolution and quality, using hills and roofs in combat. Realistic day/night cycles, water reflections, particles, fog and rain – all these features are supported by the modern 3D engine.

Turn-based combat with some improvements- Now you don't need to wait for every combat member to take its turn. Instead of successive moves all members (except the player) take their turns simultaneously.

Traps and mines- Use them to undermine enemy forces. From hornet's nests and bear traps to plastic explosives – all's fair in love and war.

RagDoll physics- Killed enemies fall more realistic. Those who like walking on the roofs, sometimes perform complex acrobatic somersaults before they die.

Lock picking- In the development we set realistic goals, and some of these features can be implemented in the expanded version only. Though we've made tech demos for you to check them out online on the game's website. These features are not just skills depending on your stats. To pick a lock you'll have to choose the right shape of each section of a Decoder pick, with a limited amount of attempts.

Stealing- For successful stealing you should take into account sights of view those people who could see your action. Agility and Expertise increase your chances for successful stealing.

Gambling


Improved AI- So called 'realistic perception' was borrowed from Commandos series. You can sneak behind enemies and use terrain objects to lurk. Don't get into the field of view of your opponents and don't use firearms until you are noticed or they will raise alarm and call for their companions. Note that some armour like helmets, gas masks, sunglasses affect perception.

NPC-Followers- People and other animals will join you, if you are able to interest them with something. 'Something' can vary from common ideas to few screw-nuts (main currency on the island).

Open World- Wander through vast radioactive wastelands and feel the spirit of freedom and post-apocalyptic reality. Travel using global map and explore random locations with diverse enemies that will not let you get bored.

Scorched by the sun and hopelessly irradiated, your land is soaked in toxic waste and blood. Those who remain are fighting to survive the endless struggle with the environment, and inevitably, with themselves.

Criminal gangs have been robbing and killing those who survived.

People still remember that day when the island was devastated with Big Bang but a new threat, unknown and therefore more dangerous, appears on the horizon, instilling fear in their minds.

Be ready to protect your people and your land from this danger.

Get the weapon you are most fit from bats and hammers to flamethrowers and bombs.

Find comrades-in-arms and go through cruel fights through swamps, and dead settlements.

Explore the island to find out the truth and punish those who ravaged your world.

Develop your character perform quests and gain experience in numerous random encounters. Guard caravans, trade, steal and fight.

There are 27 soundtracks in the game.Each settlement has its own background music.

Most of them are written by Piotr Koczewski [Example].

Other composers are Maxim Protsenko and Kevin MacLeo.

As you can see from the demo and the videos, significant part of the work has been done. Battle mechanics, inventory, character development system, perks, weapons, AI, quest engine, trading, gambling, user interface, models and animations, etc. - this is a result of our 2-years work. The most exciting – new locations, settlements, quests, monsters – is coming.

To make the game really fascinating we are going spend more time on the development and buy new content (3D models of terrain objects, weapons, creatures) for our expanding game world.

Every amount we receive from you will help us make the game better. Ideally, we'd like to implement all the features listed in the Stretch Goals section.

Our team consists of a few people.

Rostislav Kravtsiv worked out concepts, graphics and code for several games since 2004.

Piotr Koczewski created music for the games and released two albums in post-apocalyptic style.

Ceslav Sukstul since 2009 do freelance job as environment and character 3D artist for games.

Few years ago we founded a company in England and we are going to develop games as it used to be back in our youth.

Our small team developed a game demo and you can download it from Indiedb website.

Risks and challenges

We already have the main part of the game done. The game core is 95% completed, and the main quest is 80% .

Our progress in figures:

64 locations (including 25 random locations with 56 random encounters group), 11 settlements.

44 weapons and 26 armour items.

8 animals, 5 mutants and 12 human units.

59 NPC / dialogues.

15-25 hours of gameplay.
