As many of you know, we've got some amazing voice talent lined up for the Armikrog game. One of our favorite actors (and human beings) to work with is the magnificent Rob Paulsen. For those who may not know, Rob is the voice talent behind such iconic characters as Pinky from "Pinky and the Brain", Yakko from "Animaniacs", and Raphael from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." And he has literally hundreds of other credits as well.
Years ago, Doug, Mike and I created a short film called "Koghead and Meatus". We were looking for a voice actor, and found that we kept saying "We need someone like Rob Paulsen!" A few phone calls later we had arranged to meet with Rob at the recording studio. From our very first meeting, Rob treated us like old friends. He created the character voices for Koghead and Meatus there on the spot--and we laughed so hard at his improvisations that we did the wee-wee dance till we pee-peed in our pants.
When we started thinking about voices for Armikrog, Rob wasn't on our short-list...he WAS the list. We knew that our first call would be to Rob, and he would create the perfect characterization for Beak-Beak, the trusted sidekick to Tommynaut. Of course, Rob jumped right with his usual excitement and enthusiasm.
So, without gushing any further, here's a quick video clip of Rob Paulsen in action--as the voice of Beak-Beak!
