I think it is just an interactive backpack, what's so scary about that? Opens up possibilities of bigger/ more advanced puzzles.

    2. Creator Andrew - Armikrog Army on July 10, 2013

Stanislav, agree on inventory point. Thought it's better to ask in twitter or facebook

    3. Creator Stanislav Tochshev on July 10, 2013

      sorry of course *scared

    4. Creator Stanislav Tochshev on July 10, 2013

Sorry guys, maybe I am looking far in future, but is Armicrog really will have an inventory? I saw a Wii U sketches and it is something what cared me. Let explain. I like Neverhood because it was adventure-quest without main attribute of quest - inventory. Lot of my friends hate quest, but they like Neverhood and for me "no inventory" is one of the main point of that + incredible atmosphere + Humor + Mind-breaking puzzles+(add what you like). So, what are you think about inventory?

    5. Creator speedster -Armikrog Army Annelid- $4.96 on July 10, 2013

But each backer is in one tier and only gets sent one official kickstarter survey, and there will be people who have both virtual addons (needing to be early) and a physical tier (needing to be late)

    6. Creator Jito463 - WoOS, LofUT on July 10, 2013

I think it's one survey per tier, if I'm not mistaken.

    7. Creator speedster -Armikrog Army Annelid- $4.96 on July 10, 2013

I don't see how Pencil Test can get away with doing a single survey, since they need some way to figure out who chose the Chumpy Cam (and needs a login) *early*, as opposed to the physical shipping address that needs to be collected *late*; either backerkit or an in-house reward tracking solution (like Broken Sword project) is called for.

    8. Creator Elliot | Armikrog. Army - Grunt on July 10, 2013

@Kevin - give them a bit, dont worry. They mentioned at this point it would mostly be video footage of them typing things int excel. I am sure they will have it running by the time the exciting aspects begin.

    9. Creator Kevin Gabbert on July 10, 2013

They are up and running now right? Where's the Chumpy Cam? ;)

    10. Creator Elliot | Armikrog. Army - Grunt on July 10, 2013

@Inkan - that is exactly right, it minimizes the amount of problem they have with shipping. There are already enough issues with shipping as is without having to worry about keeping track of address changes as time goes on. I certainly dont envy anyone tasked with shipping out such a mass amount of shipments!

    11. Creator Inkan - Armikrog.Army$4.96 on July 10, 2013

@PKBOO - They surveys are probably sent out as close as possible to the physical delivery, as people move and change their address. There will possibly be different dates for different tiers depending on what is delivered. In previous Kickstarter projects I´ve been supporting it has worked that way.

    12. Creator PKBOO on July 10, 2013

The below contributor has a good point and since I have not seen the survey yet can we assume that surveys are being sent out later and that we will be notified? Thank you:

      randalthor on July 2
Word of advice. Do not send out the surveys next week. I've backed a lot of Kickstarters. And almost every one of them that sent out surveys right after the Kickstarter ended, regretted it later. The reason being, that Kickstarter only allows you to send out 1 survey. You would be better off sending the survey right before when you're about to mail out the physical rewards. A good percentage of backers may change addresses between now and when you mail out rewards.

Thanks for the kind words, WP is a great tool with time-saving free of charge themes for needs like this. I just set the basic framework and more of us from the Armikrog Army have joined to fill the page with content. I just couldn´t see all the wonderful fan art, videos, interviews, clay creations, animatics, songs, and limericks just disappear in the infinite down-scroll in the comments. I know that there are still links etc to add, so please leave a comment at armikrogarmy.com if have a missing link.

@Nick & @Elliot : I scanned the old Neverhood sticker and uploaded it to a private album at http://neverhood.armikrogarmy.com/ I don´t want the google bots to snatch the link, log in with:
      guest@armikrogarmy.com
      ArmikrogArmy

You should be able to download the file, it´s scanned in 600 dpi. Tell me if you want me to email the inage instead!

I also have a Neverhood ad from a magazine that I bought on eBay a couple of years ago, I will add that later. And I found an ad and concept art from The Neverhood movie that never came to be. We could actually have use for a Neverhood section in the links! There are lots of great stuff out there!

@Inkan - I look forward to the scan of the logo! Sadly, I have almost nothing from the Neverhood game. I didnt know about all the things they had made for it till many years later. Seems most that is left out there in the world is buried deep in peoples private collections...

@Greg - awesome work. We just need to keep at it so that we can hit 1M and get a producer put on the team. No time to rest just yet, still gotta push to see who else we can find.

    21. Creator Nick Roberts (the Ranting Thespian) on July 9, 2013

Pablo, I just watched the Devil's Backbone (El Espinazo Del Diablo), and I loved it. However, I do not understand why it is called the Devil's Backbone. I know in the film they show that one of the fetuses in the jars has the spinal deformity called Spina Bifida , also known as the Devil's Backbone. But why did Guillermo Del Toro choose to name the film that? Is there some meaning I am missing? Some subtlety that I didn't pick up?

    22. Creator Nick Roberts (the Ranting Thespian) on July 9, 2013

Thanks Pablo and Matt. I can't wait to test it out on a real shirt.

Remember how I always used to drop by and mention the backers I was finding by messaging people? Those were crazy times.

Anyway, I'm finding that even now, some people are just getting those messages because they only check that forum or their reddit account every couple weeks, or once a month, or whatever. So I'm get messages from people who didn't have a chance to become a backer, but are still interested in buying the game. I'm letting them know about Paypal.

I just found a cute fan video for Amrikrog that I missed before: http://www.youtube.com/watch… - amazing how creative the fans of this game are! Are all of us artists of some kind?

Hi all! Regarding the Neverhood logo - I have the sticker from originally sent to me from the Neverhood team back in 2004. That must be the correct one, I can scan it and send it to you Nick - and Elliot. Nick, the T-shirt looks awesome . I love both with and without color. The Neverhood logo is a work of art - I love it!

    33. Creator Flapjack on July 9, 2013

      To the Pencil Test team:

The recent revelation that Double Fine's Kickstarter-funded adventure game, Broken Age, has gone massively overbudget and over deadline, raises some very troubling questions about the viability of Kickstarter-funded projects. As a backer of this project and a huge fan of Doug's work, and with the utmost respect for the crew's professionalism, I'd like to request that you all take a moment and think very carefully about the end goals of the project and whether those goals are reasonable given the funds. We're all aware that the amount of money raised isn't much to make a blockbuster game on. However, we're also all aware that you've designed this game in a modular fashion, where parts can be added or removed based on resources available. I would personally rather have a small game (smaller than the Neverhood even) which does not go overbudget and is released in a reasonable time (a year and a half to two years), instead of a massive game which gets stuck in development hell due to lack of funding.

I also have a question: going overbudget happens frequently despite best laid plans, and it's certainly possible here. Has the team accounted for such eventualities, and would they involve requesting more funds from the backers and/or releasing prototypes of the game for sale to help fund its completion (a la Broken Age)?

Thanks for reading these comments, and keep on being awesome.

    39. Creator Elliot | Armikrog. Army - Grunt on July 9, 2013

@Nick - awesome. I had tried to trace the logo in illustrator a number of times, but have never gotten it just right.

    40. Creator Nick Roberts (the Ranting Thespian) on July 9, 2013

      @Elliot
Since I recently learned how to do smooth an crisp lines with the path tools (which is how I am making these Klaymen images), I can make you a super HQ version that looks exactly like the original.

    41. Creator Nick Roberts (the Ranting Thespian) on July 9, 2013

      @Elliot
OK, yeah, you are right about that. They are oddly broken. I do plan on putting them back together. If you want, I can make you a HQ version in Photoshop.

    42. Creator Elliot | Armikrog. Army - Grunt on July 9, 2013

@Nick, Im not saying it looks like a version that wasn't in the game, just that the logo itself seems to be missing some pieces. The letters in "the" seem to be broken into a lot of pieces. The curly part of the arrow is also broken up and Im pretty certain that wasn't the case as well. I could be wrong. I had been trying to track down an original vector version of the logo for years, which is why I ask.

    43. Creator Nick Roberts (the Ranting Thespian) on July 9, 2013

What I am planning on doing is making 10 shirts. Then it will be a first come, first serve for you all. All you need to do is provide shipping. The shirts are free.

I have been asked to possibly create an Armikrog. Army shirt. If that happens, I will make them, and I will only charge for shipping and the materials (as I do not want to profit off them, because that would be just wrong). However, if I include any characters or such from Armikrog, I would want Doug's and PST's approval to use such things.

    44. Creator Nick Roberts (the Ranting Thespian) on July 9, 2013

      @Elliot
I found it online. It also is one of the official logos. It can be seen during the opening sequence and can be found on the archived version of the old Neverhood website ( http://www.neverhood.se/olde/nev/ ) It is just a little different from the box art, but not by much.

    45. Creator Rasmus Jämting (PixelMage) on July 9, 2013

@Elliot But... Isn't that the official logo? Which one are you thinking of?
