Godslayer - Bisotaur Shaman Warlord
Channelling raw Urghast power has long-term side-effects on the sanity and constitution of the shamans, and for this reason they carry devices called nightmare catchers – enchanted webs that siphon off the tainted corruption into Alchemyte crystals. Bisotaurs wear the shrunken heads of former enemies containing their enslaved spirits, bound to eternal service. These despairing victims perceive a few seconds into the future, and are compelled to scream when the shaman faces impending harm.
On the battlefield, Bisotaurs use magic to selectively transfigure comrades, endowing them with larger muscles, heightened senses, stronger bones and exoskeletons etc. Within the dark and twisted tunnels of their minds lurk terrifying mutation spells yearning to be cast upon enemies, causing insides to be jellified, limbs to wither and more abominable effects. Shepherding the tribe in worship of the Urghast is part of their role, particularly conducting ceremonial sacrifices of souls to the Urghast. So too is advising to the leader of the pack or herd, which he does for many years until he degenerates gradually into an unrecognizable mass of pulsating flesh or else explodes in spontaneous combustion.
Urghast Disciple – The Bisotaur Shaman can upgrade spells and make mutations permanent.
Instinctive Wisdom – Connecting a victim to the Urghast causes the spell to continue automatically.
Parasite Senses – The warping field of energy sucks magical affects towards the Bisotaur.
Talking Heads – The Bisotaur’s shrunken heads see the future and alert him to immanent dangers.
Trail of Malice – Mutation energy of the Bisotaur’s spells travels through the plants on the ground, mutating them as it goes, forming a conduit to the Shamans target.
Upgrade Mutation – Spell effects are increased by channeling greater Urghast power.
Permanent Mutation – The Shaman binds the Urghast ectoplasm with Keraunic energy, causing the victim’s mutation to stabilize in its current form.
