Patrol: A Coloring Card Game Full 90 Card Deck
Patrol is a strategy card game that utilizes a unique Hide/Reveal mechanic, Patrol system, and a coloring drafting mechanic.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Tue, November 20 2018 4:59 AM UTC +00:00.
Patrol can be played by 2 players with an uncolored or colored in deck. In an effort to eliminate the need for boosters decks and costly rare cards, a full Patrol deck comes with all 90 available cards. Players are then able to add one of the 12 colors/abilities to their cards for a total of 1080 different combinations of cards. Players are allowed to have multiples of any given card as long as they are different colors. Patrol is a card game without card cost, player health, or player hands.
Each game is a simulation of the Galactic War. Players take on the role as commander of a unit of 5 soldiers and are able to divide their soldiers into different groupings known as Patrols. The cards are played face down and are revealed through attacking, defending, and using abilities. Abilities can only be used by revealing face down cards. Players take alternating actions until there are no moves left or both players Stay in a row. At the end of the round, soldiers that are face up and alive gain a level and players gain a point for each level gained this way.
Patrol is played in the person using 305gsm black-core matte printed uncolored cards. Players can plan out and create decks that fit their own play-style. Cards can be colored in with Prismacolor Markers, Color Pencils, Gels Pens, and more. Patrol features comic book art by Adamtheimpaler(me).
Patrol Full 90 Card Deck comes with 90 unique soldier and alien cards. Each card has unique artwork and an unique ability.
The game of Patrol relies on using strategy to combat your opponent. Players receive points only for soldiers that were used and are alive at the round. Not for defeating their opponent. Here is a quick explanation on how to play a round of Patrol.
A big aspect of Patrol is the strategy going into the next round. Cards that are alive and revealed at the end of the round receive level counters. These counters boost the cards stats. However, these level counters stay on the cards going into the next round. While the cards begin the next round face down, these level counters can give your opponent a chance to formulate a strategy.
Here is a 6 minute time lapse of a full game of Patrol.
Patrol games can last from 30 minutes to an hour. Most games are played until one player reaches 20 points. For quick games, players can also set a max amount of rounds. Due to players alternating being attacker and defender, there should always be an even amount of rounds for set games.

Colors, Abilities, and Drafting Your Deck
Patrol decks can be played straight out of the box and require no coloring to enjoy the gameplay. The extra abilities that the colors add give the card multiple options in a scenario. It allows the player to have a diverse strategy going into the game. With 12 colors and abilities, it also means that no two decks will be alike.
Players draft their deck by writing the name of the ability or the enhanced stat in the ability bubble. The ability written in the ability bubble determines the ability of the card. This clarifies the ability for play so players can color their cards any color, not color their cards, or not have issues if they are colorblind.
Players can also sleeve their cards and use masking tape or pieces of paper to determine the abilities. These abilities should be determined before gameplay.
There are six color families.

Risks and challenges
There are really no risk involved with Patrol Kickstarter. I have already successfully completed one Patrol: A Coloring Card Game Kickstarter last May. I personally draw all the cards and already have a card supplier. You can keep up to date on the card process by following me on instagram. 36 of the 90 cards are already drawn. The rest have already been designed and awaiting final artwork.
I guess I could break my hand or something, but I will try really, really hard not to break my hand.
