Welcome to the reboot of the Super Chibi Round 2 Kickstarter by MidKnight Heroes.
What's Super Chibi Round 2? It's the next step in the Super Chibi miniatures line. Super Chibi is a shared universe that spans four new and interesting worlds, created by MidKnight Heroes. Each world has its own style and flare but is 100% pure Chibi. The Super Chibi worlds have everything from mecha and cyborgs to monsters and even fantasy.
So, what can you use these miniatures for? Anything! They can be used for board games, role-playing games or simply collector's pieces. The ultimate goal is for the miniatures to have their own game, and this Kickstarter project takes important steps in that direction.
The Super Chibi Round 2 Kickstarter introduces two more characters from the science fiction world in the Super Chibi universe. These characters are from the world of Super Chibi S.E.E.D., and can be used in any board game or Role Playing Game, as well as future game titles. In this Kickstarter, we are asking for help in creating these two new characters; Takata and Jaxx. This Kickstarter will cover the expense of taking them from mastered designs to completed molds and figures, and helps in providing us with funds to help produce additional figures, with an aim to populate the tech worlds of Super Chibi.
ebook Story Book: Super Chibi S.E.E.D. Origins [Reboot Pledge only]
Just like in our first Kickstarter, Super Chibi we will be including a book in Super Chibi Round 2 - Reboot , Super Chibi S.E.E.D. Origins. This time, it's not an art book. It's a storybook. The book will include three short stories that will explain the world, Super Chibi S.E.E.D. (Synthetic Enhanced Engineered Destroid) and the backstory of Takata and Jaxx. Just like the last book, it will be published by MONOLITH and after the Kickstarter will be sold on their site. This is something we want to do more of and you will be seeing more of this as we move forward.
So what is Super Chibi S.E.E.D.? S.E.E.D. stands for Synthetic Enhanced Engineered Destroid. In the world of S.E.E.D. Destroids are mecha that can either be worn as power armor or in some cases be much bigger and piloted by a human or cyborg pilot. At a certian point in the history of the world a young sicentiest created a synthetic computer to control these destroids to reduce the loss of life in the wars. Little did he know that he created more than just a computer but he created a brain. The new destroids were now aware of their sourndings and clamined that they were in fact alive. It became a heated issue and casued major termoil. A war broke out between Biologics vs S.E.E.D.s. In the end the S.E.E.D.s lost but there are still plenty of them out there casuing trouble and somehow they are increasing there numbers.
*Note: Five random people that pledge at the Super Chibi Round 2 - Reboot pledge will get a printed version of the Super Chibi S.E.E.D. Origins book.
We always strive to be the best we can be and this time, this Kickstarter will feature a new caster. This caster has over 25-years of experience and has cast for companies like Reaper miniatures, Avatars of War and has even done work for Adepticon as well. We feel that they are a perfect fit for the Midknight Heroes family.
Each of our miniatures will be scaled at 30mm, cast in resin and will require assembly and paint. All miniatures in this Kickstarter are intended for play in our upcoming Super Chibi A.C.E. game, launching via Kickstarter, next year. [See the bottom of this page for more info on A.C.E]

Want a Midknight miniature? Get her. How about a Damien Kane? He's all yours! Just add an extra $10 to your pledge and they will be yours. Any stretch goal from Super Chibi Round 2 that's unlocked can be added as well in this manner.
*Note: Any miniature that is purchased as an add-on that was part of the Super Chibi Kickstarter will be from our first cast and therefor not cast by our new caster.
**Note: Chibi Elvia is not offered as an Addon, but if you chose the Mega Chibi Pledge she will be included.
We will charge shipping after the Kickstarter, based on the actual costs and weight. This will be collected after the campaign ends via our pledge manager.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT INCLUDE ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO COVER YOUR POSTAGE PAYMENT IN YOUR PLEDGE AT THIS TIME.
Any funds collected through the KS system are reduced by 10% when Kickstarter collects their fees; this means that any funds collected to cover postage are 10% less than what is actually needed to cover postage, if the postage rates do not increase at the time of billing and shipping (postal rates have increased on us during our projects at least once prior to fulfillment; in one case, the rates increased twice).
After the campaign ends, backers will be able to select their rewards, via the pledge manager. Shipping costs will be calculated at that time. You will also be able to select additional reward options at that time if you wish.
Postage will be calculated by region when backers make their choices via our pledge management system. All postage fees must be paid before shipment can be completed. Rewards will be posted from the United States to all backer's addresses.
Postage ESTIMATES by region: (please note these are estimates only; your actual shipping charge may be higher or lower depending on the rates at the time of shipping).
US $4.00 - $15.00 (1st Class or Priority Mail)
CAN / UK / EU $15.00 - $25.00
AU / NZ / ROW $15 - $30.
MidKnight Heroes is not responsible for any customs duties, taxes or fees incurred as a result.
US rewards may be shipped via either USPS 1st Class or USPS Priority mail. All International Mail is shipped USPS 1st Class International mail.
***Note: We have seen with our last set that it can be stuck in customs for a while. IF this does happen there is nothing we can do out side of wait.
Super Chibi A.C.E. Playtest
So some of you are probably wondering what is this Super Chibi A.C.E.? Well, that's a good question. You see we just don't want to make miniatures, we want to make games as well. Super Chibi A.C.E. (formerly Super Chibi Clash the game) is our first step in that direction. Why bring it up now? Well these miniatures as well as our first Kickstarter miniatures will be apart of that game. Watch this quick video as we explain what Super Chibi A.C.E. is.
We want to say: Thank You!
Thank you so much for your interest in Super Chibi, and doubly so for backing it if you chose to, as well! This can't be done without all of you. You're the ones who make MidKnight Heroes what it is today, and for that, we say thank YOU. If this campaign is funded, it will be because of your generous support and encouragement, and that means we get to not only produce it but also share it and make it available to the fantastic tabletop community. We want to give special thanks to, CPOP and MONOLITH they have been a huge partner and friend through this whole process.
Risks and challenges
Our core development team is made up of artists, writers and game designers. This is the team that first started working on the project and has done most of the work to bring it to you. We realized early in the project that our greatest challenge in bringing our vision to life, would be finding a great sculptor. We have done our research and found the best sculptor for the job. His name, Heriberto Valle Martinez.
A big part of this Kickstarter is to gain the funding to pay for the sculpts and overall production of the miniatures. We have thoroughly researched the costs associated with sculpting, molding, production and shipping of the first set of miniatures. We are confident that we have considered all of the costs that will be associated with this project.
Our biggest challenge will be the time needed to sculpt and produce the miniatures. As the sculptors have to do all of their work after the project funds, the time-frame following the Kickstarter may be longer than we initially wanted. Bear with us, these miniatures will be awesome and well worth the wait. We will keep you informed with regular updates on the progress of the project. We're not going to be idle while the sculptors are doing their work, however. The rest of the team will be busy developing the future line of miniatures and finishing games for future releases.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
