MidKnight Heroes Season 0 Reboot!
A proud member of "Kicking It Forward"
Here at MidKnight Heroes we take fantasy, and give it a twist!
What is MidKnight Heroes?
MidKnight Heroes is a new miniature and gaming company that combines Sci-Fi warriors with fantasy races. Our Mission: To create unique miniatures and games that appeal to a broad range of people, combining many elements of the miniature gaming hobby into one. The miniatures are collectibles that can be used in tabletop gaming and will be highlighted in our up coming tabletop skirmish game to be released at a later date.
With this Kickstarter we will fund the core lineup of starting miniatures. Each of our miniatures will be cast from White Metal. They will range in size from 28mm to 50mm. Anything over 50mm in size will be resin cast. We feel this gives a great level of detail while also providing the durability needed to make them collectible. Afterwards our miniature line will be featured in our online store (www.midknightheroes.com).
When this campaign is successful, our next project is to develop and release the game that will allow you to use these miniatures in small scale skirmishes.
Our Initial Goal:($2,000) Leonide Fai Barbarian Chieftain of the Kaioe Clan
Artist:Juan Caruso, Sculptor: Fancagne Didier
WIP of Leonide:
Leonide is the Chieftain of the Kaioe (Ki - o - e) clan, the largest clan of the Fai. Leonide did not like the way his father ran the clan and felt that his actions were not worthy of him continuing to be the Chieftain. His father showed a disdain for the creature that was sent from the sky. This creature was not of the planet so it could not be trusted. He urged his father to accept the creature with open arms, but he would not. Leonide saw only one option, challenge his father for the right of Chieftain. The battle was fierce as his father was the strongest warrior of all of the clans. Although he did not go easy on his son, in the end Leonide was the victor. Leonide pledged his clan to P.A.L. and urged the others to do the same.
Leonide will be sculpted by the amazing Sculptor Fancagne Didier! (see some of his work here) He will be 40mm and cast in white metal.
Once the initial goal is met we will be introducing an additional miniature as a stretch goal. These miniatures can be purchased as an add-on to your current pledge level. You will also be able to purchase additional copies of Leonide as an add-on.
SPECIAL! .5 Stretch Goal! Funded at $3,000
Ever since we started MidKnight Heroes we wanted to do some Chibi miniatures, so we figured we would throw one in the mix here as a surprise. Here we have a 30mm Chibi Elvia sculpted by Juan Caruso.
She was designed by Juan Caruso and will be sculpted by Juan Caruso. After she is unlocked we will start up with the normal stretch goals.
Current: Stretch Goal #1: ($4,500)Elvia and B.E.E.M.
(Artist:Juan Caruso, Sculptor: Robby Crawforth)
Elvia is an Elvarian heavily trained with the tactical assault rifle and hand to hand combat. Having been raised in a noble family she had always found herself to be the black sheep of the family, until she brought honor to her family by joining the Elvarian Royal Guard (ERG). She joined the special forces of the ERG and was assigned a special P.A.L. by the name of B.E.E.M.. Life was good for her, until the Omega War. It was in the war that B.E.E.M. was damaged; her body ripped apart in front of Elvia’s very eyes and her core memory unit damaged. Elvia acted fast and integrated what she could of B.E.E.M. into her custom assault rifle in hopes to save her friend. Unknowingly, she did much more than that. B.E.E.M. had helped design her rifle and the P.A.L. was able to integrate herself into the weapon as if it were a new body. Since the weapon was integrated with Elvia, B.E.E.M. was now integrated into Elvia as well, creating a permanent tattoo on her face.
Elvia will be sculpted by our main Sculptor Robby Crawforth! (see video above) She will be 30mm white metal cast. You will be able to purchase copies of this miniature as an add-on.
MidKnight Heroes and CPOP
MidKnight Heroes has entered into an agreement to be the official producers of any and all of CPOP's miniatures from their world/game lines. What this means is that we will be allowed to make any CPOP character from any world they have and make it into a kick butt miniature. We will have two such characters in this Kickstarter, starting with Ling Ling at stretch goal #4 and Nagisa Matso at stretch goal #10. Both will be cast in metal and sculpted by Robby Crawforth. Ling Ling will be 50mm wile Nagisa will be 30mm our standard size.
You can find CPOP here.
*If you select the $150 pledge all of the miniatures below, except Yegdra (dragon), will be included. Yegdra can be purchased as an add-on
*If you select the $200 or $230 pledge level all of the miniatures below, including Yegdra (dragon), will be Included.
Risks and challenges
Our core development team has artists, writers, and game designers. This is the team that first started working on the project and has done most of the work to bring it to you. Initially we realized that our biggest challenge in bringing our vision to life was finding a great sculptor. We have done our research and found two excellent sculptors to work on this project. For the humanoid and robotic miniatures, we will be using Robby Crawforth. For our beastly miniatures, Fancagne Didier will be doing our sculpts. For more info on the sculptors, check out our website at www.midknightheroes.com.
A big part of this KickStarter is to gain the funding to pay for the sculpts and production of the miniatures. We have thoroughly researched the costs associated with sculpting, molding, production, and shipping of the first set of miniatures. We have also built in some extras for future stretch goals after we hit the initial funding. We are confident that we have considered all of the costs that will be associated with this project.
Our biggest challenge will be the time needed to sculpt and produce the miniatures. As the sculptors have to do all of their work after the project funds, the time frame following the KickStarter will be longer than we initially wanted. Bear with us, these miniatures will be awesome and well worth the wait. Plus, we will keep you informed with regular updates on the progress of the project. However, we're not going to be idle while the sculptors are doing their work, the rest of us will be busy developing our first full season of miniatures and finishing game designed around our miniatures.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
