About

shaking hands with a real hero.

full body image of the older Batsuit.

the new Batsuit will be my own design, taking concepts from the movie, and games as well as the comics, and animated series. The plan for completing the project would be to: order the parts, modify the parts, assemble the parts. It would be easier to look at it in four parts; 1. the cowl, 2. the body suit, 3. the gauntlets, and 4. the boots. the completion time should take 2 weeks to complete. The first thing i will be doing is making a mold of my head, I then make a clay sculpture of the mask. When the clay is dried I spay it with a liquid latex, wait for that to dry then spay it again for its second coat. when its all dry i peel the latex off and it should fit to my face. I then attach the latex to the Lycra hood using liquid latex as a bonding agent and use it to make some touch up on the mask and around the seem. when that's dry i will attach the cowl to the cape and sew that together. the cowl will also feature a built in Bluetooth headset  the base of the Batsuit i will be using a combination of using liquid latex and sewing on the silicone with Kevlar backing onto the compression shirt and pants. I will be using compression fabric because that will automatically cool off the wearer, as well as increase your blood flow, help prevent muscle strain, and fatigue. the gauntlets will be made out of spandex with foam padding on the top and buttons connecting the hard plastic and biker spikes to the padding. i will also sow the phone protector to the left gauntlet. the smartphone will act as Batman's bat-computer, and will be connected to the Bluetooth in the cowl.  the boot will just be normal mid calf boots that i will most likely sew the shin guards to, and then spray with liquid latex to give it a more flush look. the utility belt will be made out of hard case cigarette covers and i will glue hinges to them creating the belt.

Risks and challenges

the biggest obstacle will be assembling the armor to stay flush with the base layer. sculpting the mask, setting the latex, and finding the right polymer to apply the mask to the cowl. and the armor to the base.
