This CD will include music from Bach to Zyman creating a beautiful journey through original and arranged songs and dances for the piano
This project will be my first studio recording in my music career. Having performed in many places around the world for the last 15 years, I finally come to the point where I want to create a professional CD with some of my favorite pieces in my repertoire.
The 8 pieces that I plan to record are related in some way to "song" or "dance" and that's why the title of the CD will be "Among songs and dances" From Busoni's transcription of Bach's Chacone in D minor for solo violin to Heitor Villa-lobos "Festa no sertao" from his Ciclo Brasileiro, featuring the samba rhythm, this album will portray the way composers from different countries have interpreted these two styles.
The funds gathered through Kickstarter will cover everything related to the recording process: recording studio fees, production and post-production costs, mastering, CD art, duplication, mechanical rights and audiovisual materials. I'll collaborate with a great team: audio engineer Ryan Streber at Oktaven audio (www.oktavenaudio.com) and producer Juan Pablo Mantilla.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my project, watch my video and pledge for my CD. I am convinced that teamwork is the only way to achieve great deeds. With all your support this CD will be the first of many.

As this is my first studio recording project in my career, the main challenge will be sticking to the original plan in terms of studio hours. After talking to both my producer and my recording engineer,we stablished that 18 hours divided in 6 days will be more than enough to put down all the tracks, plus 25 hours of editing and 5 more hours for mixing and mastering. However, these processes might take a bit longer. We will do our best in being very attentive to the time so we don't go over the original budget.
