For backers who chose the DIY OMNI EARLY BIRD option, since they are unaffected by the support ring design issues, can you explain the delays in getting the base to your backers?

Crouching is exactly what I want! I would see the "crouchig" features on my Omni. Thanks for the update.

I am more then happy for you to take a little extra time and improve the virtuix omni even further! Thank you for thinking about us and not just being another money hungry company, cause if you were you would have given us the original designed omni with many missing features and then released another version 2 a few months down the line, making us spend double the money just to add crouch and a few other improvements!

Im glad you are trying to make omni the best it can be before shipping, so that we have a better product and a better vr experience!

Great product but project planning. The management does not differentiate it's self from other kickstarter campaigns.

I guess the delay is expected... looks like we might actually get a month of VR just a little late.
Would have been nice if you guys made a shout-out to Loading Human and other projects which will support the Omni and hence will be of interest to your backers.

Although the delay is a pity, I rather have a good working product that I will enjoy a lot, then a product that has issues as I then will just put it away and not use it.

I don't know what everyone else thinks but personally i think there comes a point where you have to accept your product as is and accept that there will be more than one version released over a given period of time. It's good to see improvements but at the end of the day i was happy with the product i backed last year. If you are constantly trying to add more features the product will never be released or by the time it is released nobody will care.

Shame about the delay. Crouch would be great but that is not a workable solution. Maybe the harness could include some straps with an inertial wheel like seatbelts designed to allow more vertical movement but still able to arrest a fall. Not sure exactly how it would work (mere technical details) but the thought is it could be developed as an optional retrofit.
What I would really like is a mechanism to enable power and data to the player via the harness. No idea how that could be done.

Thanks - I've dropped you a mail. It really is a pity as I was, and still am, really excited about the many possibilities with the Omni. If I had somewhere to live, I'd definitely be planning to keep and use it :) Good luck for the future!

      Hi Ian,

We're sorry to hear that, please feel free to shoot us an email at support@virtuix.com where we can further assist you.

I'm glad that you continue the development and making the Omni :)
I must admit that although delays of kickstarters are a common thing, I'd really hoped I could get to set up our omnis in the summer with all the neighborhood kids that are dying to try it out... Patience I guess :)

Thanks for the update, but the delay's really unfortunate. I'm going travelling from September for a couple of years, so this means that when I receive my Omni it's going to have to go straight in the bin (unless I can find a friend with a garage, or can sell it on).
