This is an exciting project and I'm eagerly anticipating the Omni. The only request I have, and I see it is one most people have, is that Virtuix is as transparent as possible about shipping dates and any delays. I know I speak for most people when I say that I know things come up, and just knowing about it lets me take it in stride. Please don't let any negativity bring you down, and remember that the path to innovation is never clear or easy.

      Best of luck Virtuix,

I agree with Håkon - I'm not being negative by saying this, but Kickstarters almost never ship on time. When it comes to manufacturing, there are guaranteed snags, delays, changes, production issues, shipping problems, redesigns, customs, etc. I can imagine "Oh hey we need to change something on this injection mold - oh wait, we need an entirely new tool to do that because a water line runs right behind that area! 10 weeks later..." etc...Just look at Ouya, The Pebble, and a handful of the other big [tech-related] Kickstarters.

Sure, there are always going to be a few angry people but it's best practice to keep their numbers at a minimum :)

A January ship date is very optimistic, and I hope it's true. I expect delays, but I'd rather the delivery process to be underpromised and overdelivered! Please, please, PLEASE get this right! Virtuix would be one of the first to succeed at that.

I will say that yes, with every new "start-up", there are growing pains - you just have to plan for everything by not trying to rush and keep us updated in your processes. Also, be honest with delays! You want your backers to support you and not distrust you!

Very excited for the day that my Omni arrives. Take care! Looking forward to seeing the progress over the next few months.

      -Michael

Great that people are interested! After two months, I'd like to see somebody sit down and make some real shipping expectations out of how the production cycle is going. This January delivering date isn't that realistic. See you next year!

Woohoo! Congratulations Virtuix, Jan, Simon, and team - I can't wait to have my Omni in my living room! Any chance you'll venture to the South East US? (Atlanta, Charlotte, ??) I wouldn't expect you to, not much goes on over this way. But if you do, I wanna be there!
