Rainmakers - Breaking the Rules Changing the Game...
Rainmakers is our exciting new multi purpose board game. It focuses on players navigating their way through a street gang from life on the streets to life as an entrepreneur.
Rainmakers - Breaking the Rules Changing the Game is a multi purpose board game for two or more players. It can be played individual; as partners or in teams.
Every individual and organisation has a unique set
of values, behaviours and circumstances that materially affect the decisions
they make and the choice of lifestyle they lead. This game encourages
individuals and organisations to firstly understand the concept of “self”. Then
builds on this to bring out the latent entrepreneurial and commercial talents
of some and develop and sharpen these talents in others.
At the start of the game
players will receive a pre-set amount of wealth determined by the position they begin the game and the
character token they receive. They will roll the dice to determine positions and
the highest scoring player will automatically be the leader of the gang, if
they don’t want this task then they must pay a monetary forfeit to all players
and nominate someone else.
The nominated player has to accept the role. The second
highest scorer will be the second in command and between them they will
determine when the other players get to start the game. This can be an immediate
start or maximum miss of two turns per player. They can choose different start
times for different players, but the gang leader retains the final decision.
This will give both the gang leader and the deputy a significant advantage to
gain additional wealth - if they play the game right or it will cost them
Players travel around the board
trading, making deals, accumulating wealth; navigating the hazards and dangers
that will arise because of the choices they make. Following the commands of the
spaces they land on, will enable them to make gains or losses; prosper
or punish them; strengthen or weaken their game and so forth.
Throughout the game players
will respond to question cards and case studies; face challenges, dilemmas, choices and
decisions that reflect real life situations.
Depending on how they play they
may have to survive jail; work all hours; spend time in hospital causing
them to miss vital game play; slow their earning potential due to work related illness;
survive being on the run; family responsibilities; making money; losing
money; surviving the streets; surviving the board room; rival gangs;
rival competitors; partner with others; sever partnerships; seal the deal;
steal the deal; until they have exited the gang and entered into the

the journey and also the opposite can happen too. Once in the enterprise zones
players will have to work smarter to maintain their wealth and keep in the
zone, building their legitimate business enterprises enjoying a comfortable
with real crazy ambition, determination and courage will take calculated risks
to try and get to the super rich level. The danger at this level is they
risk losing everything and starting back on the streets, the enticement is they get
to enter a world of unprecedented wealth, the mega rich and ultra famous - a secret zone that can only be unlocked when a particular level of
wealth is achieved.

unscrupulous methods to reach that level of wealth too. If they are successful
(and they will have to be enterprise geniuses to pull it off) they too will gain
access to this world, for serious players this zone is where the game of
strategy really begins.....
these scenarios will uncover and tease out different elements of entrepreneurship
and leadership; identify key transferable skills; learn about coping skills; address risk adverse behaviour;
consequential thinking; analysis and strategy and a host of other skills in a
fun, exciting and engaging way.

Though small, The team behind Rainmakers – Breaking the Rules Changing the Game, have years of personal and professional experience, particularly in designing, developing and producing board games that tackle difficult issues.
Our multi - award nominated and multi - award winning team are recognised in their respective fields for their expertise in youth and social justice; criminal justice; youth and community work; working with gangs and ‘the streets’. This is matched with equally significant experience in business, enterprise, finance; social enterprise and consultancy.

Being my first time creating a board game there could be potential for slight delay in delivery times as I learn this process. However to ensure this does not happen, I have teamed up with experienced game designers who are well versed in all areas and have lined up the manufacturers who specialise in producing games.
I am qualified in my field so I fully understand the dynamics and demographics of our target groups. Possible delay can be caused by venue issues regarding some of the rewards that include event invites. However I am working with skilled professionals, supported by global organisations who have never failed us yet and who own an array of venues for us to use for our impending events.
