We just made goal. Holy antelope! What a feeling! All thanks to you!

1,001 Chicago Afternoons put it best: This is our first stand.

To say that Meghan and I are committed to the world of books is an understatement. Between archiving, librarianing, hosting or performing at literary events, editing, writing, and collecting (we've got twenty-five bookshelves between us), we're pretty excited about literature in general, and print as an artifact. Sure, we could have our books on Kindles. It would make moving so much easier.

But it’s not about easy. We are publishing a physical copy of the Antelope because we believe in the physicality of books. To have and to hold. To smell and to embrace. I recently read a great interview with Ray Bradbury from 2010 in the Paris Review where he captures that idea: “There are two perfumes to a book. If a book is new, it smells great. If a book is old, it smells even better. It smells like ancient Egypt. A book has got to smell. You have to hold it in your hands and pray to it. You put it in your pocket and you walk with it. And it stays with you forever. But the computer doesn’t do that for you."

So here we are. Almost two days out from our Kickstarter close.  You have really touched our hearts because by supporting us, you are also saying you believe in print. You believe in books. Thank you.

Please help us keep spreading the word. We are going to bring you an amazing, beautiful, mysterious magazine. All thanks to you.

Also, here’s a sneak peak at Zachary Thomas Dodgson’s Storigami.
