We would like to introduce you to Rebelliously Tiny, a podcast about the emotions that draw us together. For the last five years, artist Ambivalently Yours has been exploring her ambivalence and feminist questions by posting pink drawings on her Tumblr blog. Eventually, people started responding to the work by sharing their personal stories and asking her for advice, often anonymously. She began answering these messages with ambivalent drawings. Today, she has over 1000 messages waiting in her inbox, and has decided to ask for a little help responding to them. Each episode of this podcast features one question, which Ambivalently Yours discusses with someone from her IRL or URL community who she admires and trusts. Our guests vary in age, background, life experience, gender and sexual identity, and are presented as complex, intersectional individuals. Unlike traditional advice columns or podcasts, Rebelliously Tiny doesn’t provide answers; instead we use our questions as a starting point to explore the tender and vulnerable emotions we are often told are unimportant, while highlighting the value of talking to each other instead of about each other. In a world that teaches us that strength is loud, harsh and masculine, this podcast is a place for those of us whose struggle is both impossibly large and rebelliously tiny.
Despite limited resources and experience, we were able to record our first season of 9 episodes which we have been sharing online since May 2017. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, our listener base keeps growing and our podcast has made it onto the itunes top #200 Society & Culture list several times, and was at #50 on the Personal Journals list. Our show was also recently featured on CBC’s Podcast Playlist. We’ve also had a lot interest for a second season, from listeners, potential guests, and from people sending in their questions for us to respond to.
Our first season confirmed that our format and concept work, and now we are ready to take this project to the next step and record ten new episodes for season 2. We are confident that with a little support, we can make this show even greater than it already is. The money raised will help pay for our studio time, production costs and allow us to compensate our collaborators!

Risks and challenges
If all goes well and we are able to raise the necessary funds, we hope to start airing new episodes of Rebelliously Tiny in the spring of 2018. However, since we are just a team of two, there may be delays. We promise to keep our donors and listeners in the loop and send updates about the progress of season 2, via email and social media.
