Hi all. We are continuing to work to get the game into physical production. We're really happy with the box design, and are just moving around the last few bits of it. Here's a mock of what it will eventually look like:

A mock of the Companions' Tale box.

We're also continuing to talk with our printer, tweaking a last few details on our quote, etc.

Once printing is under way, we'll have an updated timeline based on what they say.

The Companions' Tale Print and Play PDF is available! You should be getting an email from Backerkit with download information within the next 24 hours. If you purchased any add-ons, or joined in the pre-order phase, those charges will be happening as well. (If you're having trouble with the email, contact us and we'll sort it out.)

We are so glad to finally show you what Companions' Tale has become. Take a look!

We are continuing to work to get the printed game into production. We'll have an update on the 24th about its progress.

Tiara has made some fantastic progress on the card layout and we're reaching a point in the production where we're getting ready for distribution of the Print and Play.

Here's an image of recent progress:

While Tiara is wrapping the Print and Play layout, I'll be reaching out via Kickstarter Messages and your Backerkit registered email address to resolve all of the backers who have not yet filled out their survey.

Right now we're at 97% backerkit survey completion, so I'll be reaching out to the final 3% so that everyone has access to the Print and Play edition.

As we finish the print and play distribution, I will make additional posts to make sure that everyone is notified so they may receive their print and play edition.

Hey all! Here's what's new this week:

Our layout artist refreshed the card layouts to echo the style we were using, and it's looking great. It's continuing to move towards print-and-play. We are also paying attention to the final publication specs for our printer, which will hopefully make those steps easier.

Our box art is complete! It looks amazing and really expresses what we're hoping for in this game. Once it's composed into its format for the box, we'll be happy to share it.

Requirements for release of Print-and-Play PDF:

- Rules Layout: in progress.

- Printable Layout (for cards): in progress.

Requirements to begin production of physical version:

- Box Art: done!

- Publishable Layout for physical version: pending the completion of Print-and-Play.

- Box Design: pending.

We're happy to announce that Tiara Lynn Agresta will be working on our design and layout.

John Walton has done a wonderful job and we're glad that he was able to be part of the project. Tiara will be continuing the work to get us to print-and-play and publication!

Here's some information about Tiara:

Tiara Lynn Agresta is an accomplished graphic designer and layout artist with over 20 years experience that includes 10 years in the RPG industry. Her work includes BubbleGumshoe (Evil Hat Productions), Shadowrun: Court of Shadows (Catalyst Game Labs), Razor Coast (Frog God Games), and dozens of other tabletop publications.

We've begun working together and I am sure that you all will be thrilled with the results.

Some Questions have come up about communication and the best place to get updates

Right here on the Kickstarter Updates page is where you'll get the most current updates on what's in progress for the project. We've made the posts public for all backers, whether they backed the Kickstarter or joined us on Backerkit. This way the latest information is present and equally accessible.

If there is a problem with your Backerkit email address, please message us. Before we release the Print and Play, we will reach out individually to the backers whom haven't filled out their survey and also have a general update prior to release.

Great News: the stretch goal that you funded, Diaspora was reviewed!

Selene from Nightstaff Games reviewed Diaspora.

It was a pleasure to facilitate that game and I am so glad that Selene had so many kind words to say about the experience.
