My film tells the story of Libby, a young woman trying to reconnect with her mother, Cathy, just days before her lesbian wedding.
I am raising money for a short 10 minute film called "Something Borrowed, Something True". It is a student film for my portfolio class at the Art Institute of California-Hollywood. I hope to be able to come out of post-production with a professional looking and inspiring film to submit to film festivals around the world.
Although the fight for the legalization of Same Sex Marriages keep gaining momentum there is still a long road ahead. Many couples are finding support through family and friends for their nuptials, but others are still left behind. These are the stories that I as a filmmaker wish to tell. Stories of everyday people who continue to persevere and learn to love themselves despite hinderances from outside forces.
Any donations will go directly to helping make this film. We need money for location fees, costumes, set pieces, props, craft service (food to feed the cast and crew), equipment and much more. We will be shooting at several locations around the San Fernando Valley and have a fabulous cast and crew. There are so many people dedicated to the project who are volunteering their time. However, we still need financial assistance to help make this dream a reality.
Please help this beautiful film come into fruition by donating whatever you can. Every little bit helps! Our goal is to raise a minimum of $1,000 to help the project along, but we are hoping that with generous donations from supporters like you we will be able to achieve much more!
