Dreamed a Little Dream is a mini-album. It is about, well, dreams, but more than that it’s about being lost in them and deciphering the very delicate line between imagination and reality. It describes the extraordinary ideals we strive to materialize that often reach an insurmountable impasse. It questions whether our absurd creative thoughts are maybe more tangible or absolute than whatever it is we consider to be realistic.
Listening to DALD, you’ll find elements of classical music, folk music and electro-acoustics that will teleport you into a whimsical fantasy in no time. There may even be a song where grandfather clocks and rusty old books are transformed into percussive instruments.
I need your help me make this little dream of mine come true! I am running this campaign so that this project can reach its full potential. It will cover the costs of recording and engineering the mini-album, the costs of physical copy distribution, as well as the costs of paying musicians and illustrators. Any funds collected that surpass this goal will go directly to videographers and touring to a venue near you!
"Armed with a beautiful voice and a flavour for quirky but honest lyrics, she engages every audience she plays in front of... When you see Monika play you can't help but smile and tap your feet."
"[Monika Cefis] came across as warm and charming. She has a strong voice and a good delivery, and is at her best when she gives her imagination free rein on “Gooseberry Pie” “Interstellar Time Bandits” and “The Waltzing Dead” (If I was a zombie would you still invite me over?) One to watch."
- East Coast FM

Risks and challenges
One of the biggest challenges that comes with any artistic project is a deadline. As quite a few musicians, engineers and artists are involved in Dreamed a Little Dream, I am pleased to say that we are already more than half way through the recording process. On another note, residing in Boston exposes me to the potential risk of wild geese guerilla attacks. If you are unfamiliar with these unpredictable creatures that freely roam the fens, you may witness one in action here: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/28/dd/6a/28dd6a320be764a6a94d095ce4308a69.jpg.
To my knowledge, nobody has lately been assailed by said wild geese; however, the possibility that they may seek revenge towards our kin is imminent. I must therefore tread with caution in order to fulfill this project.
