About this project
Awesome County, USA is a television show for children filled with animals, adventure, music and fun. We have already started shooting the pilot for Awesome County, USA, but need help with finishing funds.
The show is being shot in a picturesque country setting outside of Los Angeles and we have a wonderful musical score by composer Gregory Conte. There is a talented human and animal cast, including young actress Madison Moore, who plays the lead role of SPARKY BITTLERIP. There are some wonderful supporting animal actors as well, including a beautiful thoroughbred who plays LEONARD, Sparky's favorite horse. And we can't forget MISS EMMA, the bossy Pembroke Corgi who follows Sparky everywhere.
The pilot of Awesome County, USA tells the story of Sparky Bittlerip, a girl who loves animals and nature. Sparky is smart, independent and lives a happy, serene life at Bittlerip Farms with her Father (played by Dave Ffrench), her horses LEONARD, DIMPLE, and PANCAKE and her dog, MISS EMMA.
Bittlerip Farms is located in the City of Fantastic, Awesome County, USA, a rural area. Once Bittlerip Farms was full of laughing children having fun with their beloved horses. Unfortunately, many families have abandoned their farms in the country to go live in big cities like Wonderful, Splendiferous, Neato and Groovytowne. These families have been lured away by the tall buildings and bowling alleys that one can't find in the country. Now Bittlerip Farms is full of empty pens and stalls.
The worst thing of all is that Sparky's father cannot afford to keep the farm without boarders. He wants to sell Bittlerip Farms and move to Splendiferous where he has been offered a position as manager of his cousin's bowling alleys. Father is well aware the move will break Sparky's heart, but feels they have no choice.
Sparky can't exist without her animals or fresh country air so she dreams up a plan to turn things around.
Risks and challenges
After the pilot is finished, we will pitch it to various TV companies as a series. The story lines for future episodes have already been developed. If the show doesn't get picked up, we will turn it into a web series, build up a strong internet fanbase and see where that takes us. There can never be too much wholesome programming for children and this is a show that children of all ages will enjoy.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
