100s to Happiness™ engages users in a 100 day challenge teaching mindful movement through the practice of meditation and the classical form of the Pilates method, along with journaling to help the process. Working together, happiness is the outcome.
Today's fast digital pace has left us working harder, working longer and looking for quick fix answers. We have watched productivity lessen, sleep deprivation increase, obesity continue to rise and be a concern and a plethora of diseases that are fed from the above.
The Xanaxation era is not working. It is only making matters worse by masking with a quick covering band-aid. There needs to be a more mindful and holistic approach to healing by educating for long-term change.
The re-development of 100s to Happiness™ Version 2.0 will have a much greater impact on helping users find overall mind and body balance. We will have meditation recordings to bring the user into the proper mindset of calm. It does not serve the body well to enter your workout in an already stressed state. By entering in with a centered approach, the execution of the movements will be more aligned.
The movements will be offered in levels, giving the user the ability to work within their working level. This gives the user the guidance to learn the skill of body awareness (proprioception), which is key to successful execution of movement without injury.
The final part of the 100s to Happiness™ Version 2.1 is that the user will have a place to journal with a prompt to help take them deeper into the experience. It is proven that journaling can have a great impact on self processing and healing. When these align, the user will truly make a mental shift for the better.
At 100s to Happiness™, we want to show everyone how important it is to develop a strong mind / body connection and encourage them to see physical fitness as a whole-body pursuit. Combining breath, mindfulness, and movement is the key to vitality. We are also passionate about helping those who struggle with pain, illness, or injury to find their movement.
Through our 100 day challenge, we strive to offer everyone, regardless of shape or size or fitness level, a daily dose of Pilates. In addition, our app seeks to build a community of like-minded people around the globe.
The real beauty of this challenge is that anyone can do it and there’s no "right or wrong" speed to go. Ultimately, your goal is to harmonize body, mind, and spirit. Our app has everything you need to get started on your journey to happiness.

Dating back thousands of years, meditation is the practice of turning your attention to a single point of reference. It can involve focusing on the breath, on bodily sensations, or on a word or phrase known as a mantra. In other words, meditation means turning your attention away from distracting thoughts and focusing on the present moment. It has been proven to have many positive health benefits with a wide range:
Reduces stress levels Improves concentration Encourages a healthy lifestyle Increases self-awareness Increases happiness Increases acceptance Slows aging Sustains cardiovascular and immune health
Joseph Pilates was born in Germany in 1883. Although little is known about his early life, he appears to have suffered health issues as a child. In 1912, Pilates lived in England and worked as a circus performer, boxer, and self-defense instructor. During WWI, he was imprisoned with other German nationals. While in prison, he began teaching his fellow inmates physical fitness techniques. Near the end of the war, he served as an orderly in a hospital where he worked with patients who were unable to walk. He attached springs to the hospital beds to support patients’ limbs, which became prototypes for the modern-day apparatuses you see in Pilates studios. Pilates was released from prison and emigrated to the United States in the early 1920s with his wife, Clara. Together they developed and taught the method, called Contrology, in New York. It wasn’t until after Pilates’ death that Contrology became known as the Pilates Method. Through Joseph’s writings and Cara’s apprenticeships, Pilates was passed down to us.
Joseph Pilates based his method on three principles: breath, whole-body health, and whole-body commitment. Whole-body encompasses mind, body, and spirit. Pilates is a grounding and foundational method focusing on mindful movement.

Most of the hard work on development has already been done. The app is available for download, but we are working on an update to make it even better so the user experience will be even more motivational and inspiring. Donations go toward development, videography, and staffing ahead of relaunch.

Risks and challenges
We are on a mission to spread the 100s to Happiness™ challenge across the globe and make this app the hub for achieving health goals, mind/body balance and happiness. Driven by a passion for wellness and making a difference, we developed this app without any external funding. But now we’re ready to speed up the process, develop even more amazing features, and create a spectacular user experience that everyone will love!
In fact, we are so determined to make the relaunch of this app happen that not even a space alien invasion shutting down the Internet or a sighting of Joseph Pilates’ ghost at Weaver Street Market could stop us. More realistically, the biggest calculated risk is the developers and staff working on the project. We’re all human after all. But if someone has an emergency or makes a mistake, it won’t slow us down. Rest assured that other team members will be able to seamlessly pick up the slack.
