Rewards, and an important investigative cover story

Hello, all you wonderful people!

By now many of you have received your rewards for donating to our Kickstarter campaign. We're still waiting to hear back from some folks with the necessary information, so get your butt into gear if we've asked already. Others, depending on what level you gave at, should expect to hear from us soon.

We're also writing to tell you about a very significant, investigative cover story that we published in print and online today, "Getting away with murder: Unsolved homicides in Winston-Salem and Greensboro." It is an important and fascinating read, the culmination of months of work by our managing editor Jordan Green and Rebecca Harrelson through her investigative internship with Triad City Beat.

We are highlighting this article both because it is the kind of journalism we believe so strongly in, and because it's the type of investigative work that all of your Kickstarter donations will make possible. So thanks again! We invite you to read the article (by clicking the link above or picking up a print copy) and to help us share it with a wider audience.

Happy holidays and happy New Year from the Triad City Beat team!

One week left, and almost there!

One week from today, our Kickstarter comes to a close. We are incredibly energized by the outpouring of support we've experienced so far, both on this page and at our three parties (in Winston-Salem, High Point and Greensboro).

We are humbled by the fact that we have already raised more than $9,000 through our Kickstarter! With one week left, we want to reach out not only to thank you for your support and to share our impressive progress, but to ask you for a favor. Would you be willing to help us promote the link to our fundraiser, or nudge that friend of yours that said they would donate but hasn't yet?

You've brought us this far — now help us across the finish line!

In gratitude,

Your Triad City Beat team

It's about a week into our Kickstarter campaign and we're quickly approaching 40% completion! Our goal is to hit $4,000 by the end of this week. Would you be willing to share it with some friends to help us reach our target?

We also want to share this short, humbling email we received directly from Kickstarter this morning! Woooo!

Thanks again for supporting us, believing in our mission and for reading Triad City Beat. We're glad you are a part of this team effort.
