I am busily preparing for a performance and research tour that will see me make my debut in Europe as director of "The Wild Finish" at the Het Fijnhout Theatre in Amsterdam and spend 6 amazing days training with Christopher Sivertson and the Awake Project Company at the Au Brana Cultural Centre in France.
About "The Wild Finish"
I directed the "The Wild Finish" here in New York as part of the Culture Project Women Centre stage festival in March of this year. The show is a collaboration between myself and writer / performer by Monica Hunken and tells the story of her lone bicycle journey through a Polish winter to find and understand the legacy of her legendary theatre-making grandfather, Leonidas Dudarew Ossytinski. It's a story about family, secrets, violence and redemption, Jerzy Grotowski, Gene Wilder, and one wicked bike ride. We now need to raise enough to get us both to the Het Fijnhout Theatre in Amsterdam to rehearse in time for the Fringe in the first week of September.

The Awake Project @ Au Brana
This year I also had the amazing experience of working with Christopher Sivertson and Oliviero Papi of THE AWAKE PROJECT while they were on tour in New York. A former member of the Song of the Goat company in Poland, Christopher started the Awake Project in 2007 and through it develops a body of work he calls The Breathing Performer. I will join the company for 6 days of work on Ibsen's Peer Gynt at the Au Brana Cultural centre in the South of France in September. The Awake Project involves performers, musicians and dancers from all over the world, Au Brana (which translates to the edge of the heather) is a converted farmhouse and the project of Artists Oliviero Papi and Kate Hannah Perry. Au Brana is the home of their company, OBRA.

Your Support Will
Make all this a reality! Living an artistic life in New York is a constant dime-bending skirmish, and taking work to Europe sometimes feels like an impossible adventure. It isn't though; hard is not impossible. Pledging to this project will mean I can follow through on these amazing opportunities... and STILL STAY ALIVE!!. Your donations will contribute to my travel cost and, where I can't find it for free, accommodation as well.
Also.....
I will get to France just in time for my 30th birthday. If I can spend that day running up a stone wall shrieking the words of a 19th century Norwegian, I think my 30s will be off to a good start.
