About this project
We are Lucas and Roy Bouse, 25 year old twin brothers from Galveston, Texas. We came up with the Number One cup holder in 2012 while floating down the Guadalupe river. Every time we had to paddle away from rocks or have to get out of our tubes, we never had anywhere to put our drink. So we put our heads together when we got off the river and the most versatile cup holder was born. By 2013, the cup holders had arrived! Then about a month later while fishing with friends, we realized we came across the same problem we had on the river, no where to put our drink! When we tried using the large straps around the smaller poles it didn't work too well. So back to the drawing board we went. We have now designed a smaller strap to accommodate the smaller poles and currently working on a 45 degree angle to add to the design. Now they can attach to boats, jeeps, tractors, golf carts or basically anything. We are really excited to share our new and improved cup holder with you.
"The #1 Cup-Holder will be adding a Navy Blue cup and a Red cup to the pledges"
The strap sizes are 6" for small Bimini tops on boats and golf carts, 8" for bicycles, boats, etc, and the 12" for jeeps, tractors, and larger t-tops on boats. We will also be selling larger straps separately after our Kickstarter.
Risks and challenges
Some of the obstacles we might be facing are, manufacturing delays and also packaging and shipping delays.
The #1 Cup-Holder team will do everything in our power to make sure all our backers receive their products on time or before.
The funds we receive from Kick Starter, will go toward a mold change to make the product as versatile as possible. Also to cut the distribution cost down, so that we can make sure our customers are getting the best price possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
