About this project
The Story of Fireopolis
Fireopolis is the story of Devi and her quest to regain her flame after it is stolen by Djinn. Once Djinn has acquired Devi's flame he flees into the world of Fireopolis. Devi is left with no choice but to follow him into the bowels of Fireopolis where she comes across various inhabitants of this magical and fiery city, until she finds the one she is looking for and the sparks start to fly.
The Birth of Fireopolis
Fireopolis was born in the imagination of Rachel Rajput who originally conceived the story as a stage performance for Solar Flare, a Bay Area based fire performance troupe. The first performance of Fireopolis was at Burning Man 2010. At this performance, Marc Anderson and Rachel Rajput's paths crossed for the first time and the collaboration began. Over the course of several months and a lot of work between Marc and Rachel, Fireopolis morphed into the story we see today. With the help of the original cast members from Solar Flare, Fireopolis was ready to be made.
Fireopolis will be released as a series of webisodes. Each episode features a unique fire routine performed by members of the Solar Flare Fire troupe as the viewer follows Devi down the rabbit hole and into Firepolis as she attempts to regain her flame, her fire, her soul.

Why We Are Asking For Help
Up until now, the production of Fireopolis has been completely self financed and relied heavily on personal donations of time and skills from both the performers and technicians. With this radical approach, the filmmakers faced struggles and saw the film get held up in the post production process. It was then that it was decided that we needed to invest more money into the post production process. While the filmmakers received a tremendous deal on the post work, it is still more than this production can afford. This is why we are appealing to you and asking you to help us finish this series.
Your donation will go towards the editing budget, including color correction, title design, and after effects. The total of all the post work is $3,750.

Risks and challenges
We have a tight deadline to complete the post production process in anticipation of the July 9th premiere. We would hate to see us have to push back the premiere, so any extra hours needed on all of our parts will take place so that we ensure we meet our deadline.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
