Cancelling Kickstarter campaign

Since launching our Kickstarter campaign, we have received a tremendous amount of support from backers and those who helped spread the word about our project. Some of the most highly influential press outlets have said extremely kind things about ORA as well. It’s humbling to know that more than $70,000 has already been pledged—many new technology products would love that kind of support.

Despite that overwhelming support, we unfortunately have the sad duty to inform our supporters that we are cancelling our Kickstarter campaign. We believe ORA has a destiny to fulfill in the marketplace. We have had a lot of support and new venture opportunities to bring Ora to life, but we wanted to be realistic about reaching our Kickstarter goal. To bring the product to market entailed a lot of hard work on the engineering, design, and funding fronts. We fell short on the last point, but this is not the end for ORA.

Please stay tuned to OraAudio.com and our Facebook page www.facebook.com/oraaudio to stay in the loop about ORA’s future.

Thank You

ORA for iPad Mini and iPad with Retina Display

We are excited to announce a major update for ORA today! Due to popular demand, we have added the option of purchasing an ORA for both the iPad mini and the iPad with Retina display. As excited as we are about this for ourselves, this news makes ORA the first integrated speaker solution for both the iPad mini and the iPad Retina Display. ORA will be able to connect to these devices via their recently announced Lightning connectors. This is a product first for the industry and our team is thrilled to be the first to offer it.

Make Some Noise

WOW! In less than a week, ORA has received close to $50,000 in funding from more than 375 very generous backers. Thank you! We feel flattered to have also received some great write-ups from reporters and bloggers we admire--check out our main page for some highlights.

One of the questions we've been asked a few times is about our $450,000 funding goal. In a nutshell, it's all about transparency. We wanted to be transparent as possible with our backers about the funding that was need to provide ORA at the lowest possible cost to Kickstarter users.

Achieving our funding goal guarantees that we can deliver ORA directly to users, without having to rely on pricey distribution channels. While other campaigns struggle to deliver their products even after reaching their funding goals, reaching ORA's Kickstarter goal means we don't have to compromise on the device's quality or timeframe we have set to deliver it.

Our combined team has conceived, designed and released over 20 devices to various markets including high-end audio devices. We understand the complexity and capital needed to deliver a hardware device and up until now, we've been helping to fund ORA ourselves.

We believe in Kickstarter as a great community to support new ideas. We want to build a solid track record to be able to foster more ideas, propose more designs, and look forward to ORA's continued momentum on Kickstarter!

Help us Make Some Noise, and Bring Ora to Life.

ORA Covers + POP Colors

If you've already ordered Stealth and you want a cover, modify your pledge to add $30 and send us a personal message specifying what cover you want. Once we are funded we will confirm your order. Or, if you haven't ordered yet and you want a Stealth with a cover - pledge amount and add $30, also send us personal message.

If you ordered a ORA POP (that comes with a cover) we'll send out a questionnaire once funded to confirm final color selection. But if you like, you can also send us a message earlier to specify which color you're looking for.

We apologize for the confusion. Thank you for your support!
