Andromeda Comics may be new to the game of comic making, but, man, do we have some great stories to tell you……
We apologize for our oversight! A few of the perks weren't slated for International shipping! That has been remedied! Thanks!
Pretend for a second that computers existed in the 1960’s and that Kickstarter was there too. You see a campaign to raise capital to create a new wonderful comic about a now famous web-spinner… would you have donated? And had you donated, would you be bragging about it today, how you were there from the very beginning, and to prove it, you take your limited edition variant cover comic given only to those who contributed to the cause, and show it carefully to your grandchildren as they gasp in amazement? Of course you would. Every company has humble beginnings. Every company starts from a thought or idea, and Andromeda Comics is no different. We are “kicking off” our company with at least two limited series comics to introduce us and many of our characters to the world, and we would like for you to be able to reach into a drawer one day in the future and share those beginnings with your children and grandchildren and say, “I was there at the beginning, and I believed!” And their gasps of amazement will send chills up your spine.
As a lifelong reader of comics, and a die hard fan of Stan Lee, I always dreamed of writing for comics. To dwell with the superheroes in their worlds as they risked life and limb and made sacrifices to help others. In all of those dreams it never dawned on me that one day I would be creating those characters and developing those worlds for others to share. I was overwhelmed at the prospect as characters and stories developed. I was amazed as Stephen’s tale of Boscoe Riley unfolded in front of me. And I was surprised as I looked upon the image of Frenzy and realized that I had created that, and I openly wept, alone in my office. “Is THIS what Stan Lee felt when he first saw Spider-man?” I was now doubly committed. Although Andromeda Comics has over a dozen titles that will eventually be released, a Kickstarter campaign of that magnitude is unrealistic, and would actually cause unnecessary delays. Instead, we decided to focus on two titles, and get the ball rolling.
A comic that we feel will be a big fan favorite is “Boscoe Riley”. Boscoe is an orphan whose entire colony was wiped out when he was a teen. Taken in and raised by a family of nomadic traders, he grows to become a highly trained and deadly bounty hunter who has made it his mission to search for and bring to justice the men who destroyed his colony and killed his family. He builds a team of outcasts and rejects to help him along the way.
Another that we think will be very popular is “Z-Corps”. This is a story of imprisoned soldiers who are offered their freedom in exchange for them volunteering to be medical test subjects. The drug they are supposed to be testing? They are given an inoculation against the zombie contagion that is sweeping across the globe. They and the military are duped, however, when they are given a drug that turns them into sentient zombies.
Tier 2: If we exceed our funding by $35,000:
"Frenzy" is the story of a professional athlete, Eric “Electric” Storm, on the cusp of football immortality when he learns of his family’s horrid fate. Devastated, Eric never returns to the field. Instead he wanders the countryside, looking for some measure of peace. Then one day he sees a lovely amulet. It’s a piece he feels his wife would have enjoyed, so he buys it. After exploring the history of the amulet, he discovers it can make him superhuman, and he can stop people like the ones who hurt his family.
If we exceed our Tier 1 goal by $70,000:
Alexander Shields is a paunchy, middle aged juvenile probation officer who is frustrated as he watches his charges slip back into gangs and crime. He hates the system, and he is very unhappy with the apathy shown by his coworkers. He receives a package from an old friend. In the package is an amulet that changes him into a young vibrant, powerful hero, capable of making a difference in the lives of those he has been charged to protect. He is the “Guardian”.
Tier 3: If we go beyond Tier 2 by $35,000 or more:
Finally, we have “Soul Mates”. It’s the story of Annabelle, a young French woman who is accosted by a dark mysterious stranger on a foggy night in the 16th century French countryside, and turned into a Vampire against her will. When he attempts to force himself on her, she kills him with a flaming stick from the campfire. She then sets off on a 500 year journey to find the man who can unlock her Vampiric heart.
If we go beyond Tier 2 by more than $70,000:
Trenton Justice is a cowboy from the 1880's who has been thrown forward in time to modern day Capital City by a mysterious force. What he discovers is a world more violent than the Wild West and gangs more savage than any Indians he's ever faced. Justice, being a law man, decides to take a stand in a poverty stricken inner city neighborhood.
As a special thank you to our contributors, if we over-fund beyond Tier 3 far enough to produce another title(In $35,000 increments) we will provide all of our donors who have contributed to three (3)opportunities at the Hero’s apprentice level, or two (2) opportunities at the Hero level, or one (1) at the Heroic Team Leader or above opportunity level, a free set of each of the limited series we produce due to over-funding. These sets will be a variant cover, and we will make as many sets as is necessary to fulfill our obligations, and no more. If you meet the qualifications more than once, you will be given the appropriate number of copies. These are, in no particular order: Blonde Ninja, A Man Called Justice, Fidelis, Linchpin, The Tollbooth in My Closet, Zombie Killers Club, and The Justice Initiative.
Please note that once we exceed funding level for Tier 1 by $35,000, we will open up new opportunities and perks involving the Tier 2 titles which we cannot in fairness offer to you initially. Please check back often to see if we've achieved our goals.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
We've discovered that finding good artists is a struggle. We will overcome that with the momentum of the campaign; we feel the credibility we will gain will aid us. Collectively,we have over 30 years combined experience in project management, so it is a challenge we can overcome.
More importantly, our time may pose a challenge.... we hope to be able to complete the project before the pending zombie apocalypse. Fortunately, each team member scored a 100 on the zombie survival test!!
