Hello,

I'm excited to announce some important dates for Top Secret!

  • Alpha - May 13th
  • Beta - June 3rd
  • Launch party - June 25th (provisional)
  • Release - June 28th

The alpha will go live in the next update (May 13th). Beta and release will follow in June. Physical rewards will be sent as soon as possible and should be in your hands mid June.

NB. In the Kickstarter I estimated launch for May so apologies that this has slipped a month. There’s no single reason for the delay - some tech took longer to implement than expected, and in some areas I’ve added more tech than originally planned. Apologies once again!

Tech talk

Earlier this week I presented the tech behind Top Secret at a London interactive fiction meetup. The talk covered how to use the tech to create email interactive fiction and touched on some of the design possibilities of the space. For those who missed out, Emily Short has written up the talk (and added her own insightful thoughts on the subject) here.

ps. if you’re interested in more events like this, take a look at the event meetup page.

Survey reminder

Finally, thanks to all those who have completed their surveys. For those who haven’t yet, please do so ASAP. The sooner they’re all filled in, the sooner I can order and send your rewards!

Thanks,

James

No problem for the 1 month delay, this is nothing compared to many other projects ;-).
