The DVDs are currently in production. Once EVERYTHING is finished, I will send out ALL incentives, en masse. I REALLY appreciate your patience and understanding, as production and fulfillment is not an easy process.

      Hi Jeff,
just wanted to check in on the film status. I Love the project and can't wait to see it.

I will send out a survey to collect shipping info soon. NOTHING is ready to ship. That is not the case, nor did the Stones Throw newsletter indicate that. It's a pre-order option. The street date for the DVD is May 27. No one's pulling wool over your eyes, folks. I'm doing everything I can.

What are we filling out here? I just saw another Stonesthrow email saying this is ready to ship. I too am a little disappointed in the updates/turnaround times here, but I still want all my items. Please let me know what needs to be updated. I don't think that was clear. Thanks.

I can. It's just such a small project and I've been working really hard to just get it out. So when I get angry messages, it's just a little deflating. Everyone is gonna get everything they've been promised. It's gonna happen. I really do apologize it's taken so long. These types of projects take a REALLY long time to see to fruition. So if you can find it in your heart, cut me some slack.

Jeff - I understand that deadlines are missed and were out of your control. However, that does not excuse the lack of updates that have been provided. This project was funded almost a year and a half ago and yet there have been 4 updates in that timeframe. I don't expect monthly or even bi-monthly updates. But I thought that I would get more than what I've gotten about the progress on the doc. I also didn't expect to get more timely updates about your project elsewhere either. I'm sure that you can understand where that can be frustrating.

    9. Jeff Broadway 4-time creator on April 16, 2014

Britt - the "project has missed its own deadlines" because of issues entirely out of my control. Believe me, I want to get everything out to everyone. I am working hand-in-hand with Stones Throw corporate. They and I are not two different entities on this project. You will be receiving the 2-Disc Box Set and a Digital Download of the film when all materials are available. I, personally, have not even seen the DVDs yet. And that's because they're not finished. As soon as they are, deliverables go out.

    10. Britt Schramm on April 16, 2014

Just received another email notification from Stone Throw corporate giving an actual release date of 5/27 ( for $30 less than I pledged in either DVD or Blu-ray format with CD included. At this point, this project has missed its own deadlines, failed to properly advise the stakeholders/backers of any progress and has now undercut the incentives they offered in 2012. At this point, I am seeking a refund of my pledge. I would rather give my money to some entity that can deliver on the goods/offers that they solicit.

Any way you would consider letting us download the digital version early?

Can't wait to watch this! Congrats again for making this happen! Do the $50 donors still get Madlib music?
