We are 'The Seventy Fifth', an amateur-led fanzine created by a collective of young writers, poets, photographers and artists based in Paris. Our project is targeted towards a young, low-wage, English-speaking community living and working within Paris and seeks to provide useful and engaging lifestyle advice as well as share relatable perspectives on city living.
Using Issue 1 as an online prototype for our upcoming issues, we’re hoping to raise funds to realise our dream of printed, physical, distributable, full colour Zines. Using kickstarter, we're seeking to raise funds to print Issue 2 of The Seventy Fifth, ‘The LOVE Issue’; you can check out Issue 1 on ISSU: http://issuu.com/seventyfifth
Risks and challenges
We’ve dedicated a lot of time to research the best value and quality printing services and already have in place a quote for a printed batch of 50 for Issue 2.
We already have high-quality content and reliable contributors who are excited to work with us again on Issue 2.
Learning from the pitfalls and challenges of bringing together Issue 1, we hope Issue 2 will be a smoother and faster process with regards to gathering content, editing and layout. We aim to have the magazine completed, printed and published by the end of March 2015. However, as the magazine relies on voluntary contributions, this date may subject to unavoidable setbacks.
